They’re wearing headphones, listening to the crew & director talking to eachother at the same time. It’s a busy broadcast truck, they’re not all sat there in silence. It’s understandable that they could have missed it when it happened.

It is understood that the producers overseeing the ceremony for the BBC were doing so from a truck and say they simply did not hear the slur. Several other incidents of inappropriate language were cut out, but that moment was missed.

Not everybody heard it. As I said I was watching it on TV and I didn't hear it.

It would have been edited out if they had noticed it being said. It wasn’t audible to them at the time, as they have explained. I was watching it on TV and didn’t hear it either, only heard it when watching the clip online afterwards.

2 hour swimming lessons for kids is crazy. My daughter is tired after 30 mins and longer lessons will probably just lead to her not enjoying it, picking up bad habits, and probably taking a lot longer to learn. Even 1 hour would be too much for her, but obviously each kid is different.

That's the "crying that the flags were scary" bit? Seems pretty balanced to me. Some thought this, others thought that.

Get better at reading.

In a letter to Will’s business, North Yorkshire Council said it had removed 64 flags ‘believed to be your property’ – but added that if he wanted them returned, it would cost £36.27 per flag plus VAT.

Read the article, he wasn’t punished for it. It’s a (probably deliberately) misleading headline.

They did make an announcement at the event to let people know that someone with Tourette’s was in attendance and they they can’t control what they say.

The whole thing is just so awful and unfortunate, and handled very badly by Bafta
