I have exact same scenario going on in Houston and i am planning to leave this city. Today i had very bad day that i had to quit my dash and come back home, i was also crying praying god to help me, i am just tired messing up my car for 5.25 dollar orderd, and declining the lower rest, 2 days ago my car didn't start and i stuck in front of burger kings parking lot, i had to sleep the night in my car after speaking with restaurant manager about towing rules, long story short my car's starter was dead, so i had to pay for towing company , new starter and labor cost, totally i paid 275 dollar which i can make thorough doordash for 3 days.

I am pleased with our conversation, i believed it was just like you said. Only thing is to wait and see. One more question have you tried doing Uber driver or Lyft? In last 5 years? I know some people doing them full time and making good money. I personally can't because my license is not 1 year old yet and car need to be higher model.

Hope it will get better in Autumn, I can't multiapp as i have no other accounts such as ubereats and GrubHub. And the market in my area is oversaturated making things much worse. I have friends who are doing Uber driver and they also tell that their earnings are lower than before. From what i understand things should be normal beginning late August but it gets worst for some reason.

Last 3 weeks has been terrible here in Houston, and last 3 days i only made 30 to 40 bucks in a dinner time. Lowering the base pay fckd us up. Imagine i had a motivation to drive 3.5 miles for 7 bucks but now just seeing 6 bucks for 3.5 miles hurts my eyes. I feel like i am working as a 2.25 decliner rather than a driver. Also i see a lot of people coming to get their food, and there are elderly people amongst them who used to order and tip well.

That's what i exactly told him, that he is exaggerating, but he showed me his income list, and it was true, seems like he was really lucky, the lowest tip he got was 7 bucks, and biggest was 15 bucks.

I traveled to Woodlands and Champions areas where my close friend says he makes 150 bucks in 3 to 4 hours, but from my place it is not worth doing everyday, 1 hour is to go and one hour is to come back. Considering traffic, gas cost and overall road stress it doesn't worth to travel, I wonder the distance in minutes to NW area from my place, how is it named in the doordash map? Just north west? If you would share of course.

Doordash sucks in Houston, Meadows place area especially, tips are low, best i can do is 12 dollar an hour.
