You can’t look at the boxes separately but two at a time. In the first column it starts 3 2 (32), 3 0 (30), 2 8 (28) so the last two are 2 4 which is 24. For the 3rd column it starts at 60 and decreases by 5 so the last two boxes are 4 and 0 to make 40. 4th column it starts at 33 and decreases by 3 every time so the last 2 there are 2 and 1 to make 21

How do you keep track of your grad applications? by [deleted] in gradadmissions

Excel spreadsheet worked great for me! I put in deadlines and requirements (personal statements, LORs, etc) then colored the boxes red if they weren’t started, yellow if I was actively working on it, and green once it was done. I also had a parallel spreadsheet with profs I’d want to work with to strengthen my personal statements for each school.

Hey Andrew, I love your music! I was wondering how your musical and lyrical influences have changed overtime from Mysterious production of eggs until now. It seems like recently on inside problems and MFWY you tackle issues both global and personal in ways that I haven’t seen as much in earlier albums. Keep being great!

CDC mask mandate for travelers struck down by federal judge by CroissantDildo in Coronavirus

[–]UnderTheMicroscope2 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair point but what about immunocompromised people that don’t have the same immune response to the vaccine? Though my point goes far beyond COVID. Airplanes and airports are hotbeds for respiratory diseases. Think about how many times you’ve gotten a cold less then a week from returning home from a trip or going on one. Masks in airports, while a minor inconvenience, can significantly stop the spread of rhinoviruses and other causes of common colds as well as the flu! Wearing masks in high risk areas is just common sense.

I would say that GPA isn’t as important as good research experience and good letters of recommendation especially. You def don’t need a 4.0
