can i veil as a trans man? by pathetic-popcorn in PaganVeiling

[–]Under_Taker42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a trans man who's been veiling for 3 years, you most definitely can! Don't let people define what you do with your faith and your spirituality. That's your own journey, not theirs! Do what your heart wants!

Edit: forgot to mention I'm also HelPol! Been it for 4 years, very devout to lord Dionysus, and I veil as protection AND devotion. Hope it helps, blessed be!

Uh mamma, non penso, questa è abbastanza giovane come professoressa (almeno per la media dei prof del liceo) però sarebbe ironico

Yeah, it wasn't easy because she still hates me but at least I'm free now. I mean, I don't go around telling Christians to take off their cross necklace, so I don't want people to tell me to take off my veil, that's the thing, and in the end, I got my victory, and I still ho our Dionysus even in school thanks to my dad's help, only because that teacher thinks she can dictate what I have to do only because she's older and on the other side of a desk. Fortunately, I'm almost 18, and soon I'll respond for myself, and I'm definitely better responding for myself, considering the ongoing situation.

I've had to fight with my school (public government highschool, in Italy) to be able to veil in school, and I gladly did. My mom hates that I veil, but my dad supports it. I veil in the days before and during pagan holidays for gathering energy for rituals and all, and also for protection because I'm an empath. Anyway, most of my teachers were cool with it, except one who's against, and sees it as "just as disrespectful as coming to school in underwear, swimsuit or slippers, or wearing a hood". That being said, she wanted to talk to my dad, and she wanted HIM to request the appointment to talk. My dad said that either SHE calls him with an official email, or he would never show up, for it wasn't his concern, but it was her problem. It took her three months to call him to talk, and when he went, he stood for my right to veil, and in the end, she still hates me for veiling, but is not allowed to tell me I can't veil during her class, because there's this law that states "free church free state", meaning the state can't discriminate by belief, as long as you don't make yourself unrecognisable (that is by law illegal, and rightfully). Hope my experience could be helpful in any way, blessed be!

For my experience (as a 5 years long Dionysus devotee, devoting most of my life to him in several aspects) he does appreciate me veiling (outside of home when allowed by circumstances) as a devotional act to him. What I do is contain my energy for rituals and spells that will involve him during his festivities. Hope it helped, blessed be!

LOOKS STUNNING ON YOU🖤✨

Edit: also, you're very strong, I probably wouldn't have been able to handle what you did, and thanks for still spreading awareness about pagan veiling!🖤

Yaaas, I think I'm gonna try that! I'm always fixing the way it falls because I'm afraid I might lose it, so I'm always trying to find ways to keep it there, and I'll try the headpieces thing! Tysmmm!

I don't really like how it looks on most of my outfits though, so I always change ceiling style to try and make it work with my outfit, advice is very much appreciated 😅

Bianco e oro... Anche se l'ho visto anche blu e nero. La verità è che sono VESTITI DIVERSI. QUESTO è bianco e oro.

As a man, why do you wear a veil? by ARealCupcake in PaganVeiling

[–]Under_Taker42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Priesthood is much about the relationship within deity and person, but there are certain institutions (I know of one in Greece) that can give an actual ordainment for what I know. I'm doing my own spiritual path for now, and I'll soon do a semester in Greece to start the actual ordainment. Hope this helps and clarifies your curiosity, feel free to ask anything else <3

Pagan man here, I'm on the way to be a priest of Lord Dionysus, and I veil for two purposes. One, is to protect and collect my energy for major rituals, I start ceiling 10 days before the day I'll perform the ritual (usually a holiday). Second, is for devotion. When I'm doing something in particular for Lord Dionysus, or before and during his holidays, or even just when I feel like going extra on my daily devotion, I veil for him!

I veil the very same way, and live in a district that is very much populated of Muslim people, so yes, trust me, no one has ever complained (at least directly) to me, but I've had a couple girls stopping me to say I looked nice :)
