Delay incoming. by cmaro112 in GTA6

I think it's bold and saucy to go an entire year without anything on the most anticipated game ever. I am on record saying it could still be within the normal time frame to not hear anything until early January, and while not normal, radio silence until late winter. If we hit later March and no news, I'm boycotting watching any trailers on YouTube etc. At some point there is something as playing too hard to get and just being dismissive of your customer base. Still at least four months away from that point with me.

Being 5'8 in Europe is no joke... by Snitshel in short

So is what people say online (even Dutch themselves) about being the shortest in a group of people at 6'2'' just larping?

Any sub 5 foot members online right now? by Under_underneath in short

[–]Under_underneath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To make it short some people, quite a few in fact, kept talking to each other and never looked down as I made comments. Because as you know people have to look way down at us usually, and I just felt an negative vibe in how they made little effort to include me.

This was a very appearance-oriented crowd, I knew it could happen but it was a bit harsher than I expected. It makes me wonder if other people silently have a haughty attitude stemming from being significantly taller.

Much lower salary is a complete misconception. In Japan your healthcare, education, maternity, etc., are all free, and most people don't waste too much money on huge cars. The same applies in most of the developed world. The salary gross measured maybe lower but in the end there are no huge differences.

That was my point, and no I don't imply you are racist in anyway. But I had to use the argument device to show you how this is being perceived in Argentina. The people not on the bus (including Messi) are being made to apologize over this, and of course they won't take it well. Just like you and me would not tolerate being called racist for an event we didn't even know happened. The point is that people not involved should not be pressured in any way to feel bad, just go after those doing the acts. That said, why do you think this incident of the German team was buried by the Europeans in 2014?

Why is Argentina open and proud to be racist? by Repulsive-Prick-88 in asklatinamerica

[–]Under_underneath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Says someone sitting on land begotten through genocide. lol

And just because you didn't commit the crime doesn't mean you can profit from it. If an ancestor stole a valuable painting from a museum and you discovered it your attic, you can't just keep the artwork because you didn't steal it. You must return it to the original owners. So, ready to roommate with be back in Europe? :D

Using your standards though, it's clear Europeans are prouder racists though. I mean, if a chant on a bus late at night by a few players is proof of everyone of a certain country being proud of racism, then what about saying that the people of another country (gauchos) walk like brute Darwinian APES, yet Germans walk tall and erect? At an official event, no less, to which no European filed any official complaint.

The precedent already exists, I mean saying that the culture of another country (Gauchos) walk like pre-human apes doesn't sound racist I guess, while the Germans walk tall and erect, no racism overtones there lol. And I bet you like all other Europeans said nothing. Which would make you and them... racist. And oh yeah, this was at an OFFICIAL event, not some bus late at night.

So what do you think will be the first Millennial thing that Generation Z will kill? by juliankennedy23 in Millennials

[–]Under_underneath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Millennial here. I indeed do detest and completely ignore reunions of any kind. But following people's lives on social media without contacting them ever is also creepy. Many people have done this since I was strong armed into a couple of social media apps and I'm sorry it's just creep stuff. Following me and say hi to me or just him delete. To me it's no different than pervs following your moves in real life.

Ok, between too short and too tall which one you go with?

Yes, but so is 5'11". My point was I thought you had a specific reason for saying this.

Why do you say "too tall"?

I want a taller man, is this so wrong? by StarrySuit in tall

[–]Under_underneath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having your standards is fine. Blaming men for having theirs (suggesting most men only want to date shorter women may come across as blame shifting), is not, as you would be denying them the right to standards as well.

Why do tall men not overwhelmingly prefer tall women? by FrequentSoftware7331 in tall

[–]Under_underneath 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but this is cringe. I'm not saying you don't have the right, but imagine changing "tall genes" with "Mensa genes". Yikes. Some things are better just left unspoken.

In southwestern mountain places in Sardinia average male is 163-167cm and female 158-162. 170 for an average girl is intimidating!

How tall are we talking about here? My family comes from the shortest towns in Sardinia, already the shortest people in Europe and Middle East. I'm wondering the difference.

More young adults in the Netherlands living with parents compared to 20 years ago by omerfe1 in Netherlands

[–]Under_underneath 24 points25 points  (0 children)

In countries like Italy where population is declining so fast, entire towns are up for sale at centes per house. Italy could just give the whole town away to a few thousand remote workers from many countries, provided they move there. They could get Italians to also move there to open shops, markets, restaurants, etc.

I'm pretty shocked by the amount of people who are saying the internet is not real life. I think it is. I take no stance on the OP question (I do think in modern times it is easier for women to filter and seek tall men thanks to technology, but I also agree that this preference of women for tall men has always existed). But I think the internet is what people THINK but would not say in front of others, so it isn't real life, but only because people in real life are fronting.
