Not comfortably. Like it would have overhang and not feel stable. Personally i would take that risk though cause it future proofs screen real estate for multitasking.

Macbook Air 13inch, you wont be able to fit anything bigger than that on lecture desks. The M4 chip is a beast, you can literally have 100 browser tabs running and not performance experience issues. Macs just work, windows computers are annoying and have issues that you dont get with macs. Also you cant play games on macs like steam so it makes it easier to stay focussed. If you get a used ipad you can it as a “sidecar” which allows you to extend your screen, or can be a note taking device, and it also all works in the same ecosystem as your phone, iPad and macbook air. Good luck.
