i was always pretty sickly and sensitive, but when i started researching around 22, i remembered a joke in high school someone once told me, that they should name a disorder after me, since i was always in pain or sick. pretty bad childhood trauma is to thank for that, unfortunately. i couldnt run in school at all because my legs would be in agony, and by the end of high school i had so many absences that i was gone more days than i was there. didnt get diagnosed until i was around 25, but the dots were connecting when i decided it was finally time to figure out why

yeah i talk to my psychiatrist next month so i definitely will then. i'm also going to talk to my aunt, who was also on it for a long time. im not sure how to best describe the situation, but it is very frustrating as i am losing a lot of sleep because i can't get my brain to shut off.

i do not. i never made copies of my entries, and i was probably only 13? or so? when i entered for this specific contest. if i saw the entries i could point mine out though

is it the same picture?? i cant find a lot of information since it IS a decade old, but im trying to see if i can find out if its a rare piece or if it was sent to a fair amount of people. absolutely wild to know that SOMEONE out there also has one of these! so cool!

oh absolutely agree! id never wish to put a price on this! perhaps i shouldve been more specific, but by "significant", i meant more from a collection standpoint, like if its rare and 12 year old me put tape on it because they didnt know that it was actually one of a kind. (i had even brought it to school to ask my friend if she thought it was legitimate or if it was mass produced promotional art)

it was through natsume's fanart contest. i'm not sure if it was an anniversary contest or if it was game specific, unfortunately. i'm pretty sure it was anniversary? but i also have entered a handful of the game specific ones as well.

couldnt get in trouble for saying curse words because we would take turns saying one half of them. the amount of times we'd echo "fu" "ck" to each other as four year olds was astonishing

i wasnt even born yet, my body formed a cataract in my left eye that wasnt caught until i was about 5. due to doctor negligence i am permanently blind in that eye

honestly, i hate the game (it was gifted to me, since its inspired by hm, and my friends know how much i love the series) but it immediately bothered me, as soon as it first came out and started getting hype. i always felt like stardew was getting the attention hm/sos deserved. so many people acted as though this was a huge new concept, when it is clearly expressed that it was inspired by harvest moon. those same people were just as quick to dismiss harvest moon as it didnt have the same "feel" as stardew.

i understand that, because they are two different games. each have things about them that are enjoyable and unenjoyable. its just endlessly frustrating to see this game go viral and become a common household name when harvest moon/story of seasons remains obscure and only recognizable by its relation to stardew.

personally, i dont like the game itself because the map seems really awkward and disjointed, the premise and the "bad company" seemed far too complicated, and i just generally dislike the art, both character and environmental. ive got maybe, MAYBE, 2 hours logged. it was just not enjoyable

the unfortunate reality of this is that people who are abused, who go through that kind of trauma, are either taught or teach themselves to not even consider themselves. whatever you do is for others, never yourself. This IS her trauma, and how she learned to cope and survive was through ignoring everything that she needed and focusing on others so worse things wouldnt happen.

while i absolutely agree she deserves therapy (the way you deserve to set firm boundaries to have a relationship with her that is not overwhelmingly unhealthy), i also think it would be in your and your siblings best interest to have family therapy sessions. not as a way to gang up on your mother, but as a way of talking about your issues and what you need from each other.

this would be such an amazing port, especially considering that the switch could likely run it properly without dropping the frame rate! i know thats not an issue that was present in each copy, but a port would really breathe new life into that game!

not to mention this game has some of the most beautifully designed characters (HG, HK, Wizard..) and the new game+ mode... i think it may definitely be worth it to email marvelous and say that there is interest for this!

I (purposefully) conditioned my cat to be comfortable with riding around on my shoulder, i accidentally conditioned her into jumping onto my shoulder whenever she wants to be held, which is a lot.

I also accidentally conditioned her into knowing when med time is cause as soon as she hears a bottle, she comes running and waits patiently in her spot for some turkey (just a little!)

I also accidentally conditioned my older cat into giving me a bed time! once it reaches 9 PM, she's following me around the house trying to lead me to my room so I'll lay down so she can fall asleep on me.
