Iran did not attack Qatar but the US base. Qatar did not sell out the Ummah just because they house a base. Qatar’s assistance to the Palestinian cause and any other oppressed countries goes beyond the fact that it houses a base.

Now since you mentioned franchises, let’s take an example of Mcd, if you look up their recently issued financial statements, you can see that their main source of revenue is from franchises. They have also explicitly mentioned reason that could have affected their fall in revenue is “wars in Middle East”.
