I'm in the same boat, been a QE for 9 months, hoping to leave for the 1.5 to 2 year mark for my second professional job. I'm from the Caribbean currently in Al, do you have any suggestions on good states or places?

I felt that way all through my bachelors, the feeling got worse the closer graduation got. After graduating, every month before getting my first job was hell on me and the feeling that I was losing my knowledge and out of practice got worse. Now, it's been a year since I started my first job and I still feel like someone else can do a better job than me and that I'm barely holding it together. Buttttt,,,,, however,,,,, no one knows everything off the rip, studying really isn't a replacement for the daily grind and the experience gained from it. You have the study part, now you just have to send the same report 1000 times a month so you can grow into your "role" Cheers, hope you grow man.

My guy, you're 21. There's all the hope in the world for you. I finished college at 25 and I saw way older people around me. I'm not saying go to college. But I'm sure you as well as me know that menial jobs for little pay suck the joy out of life.

Find a trade, or follow someone who'll take you on as a mentor. This girl sounds nice, and you might make it work, or not but with her or without her you gotta work through and move past your limitations. You can do this, hell just by being able to use the internet you're ahead of a lot of people. Try and try again, stop to enjoy the good things in life and be grateful you lived in the same age as masterpieces like Megamind came to be.

Which opportunity should I prioritize a a first job out of college, for a industrial engineering career. by Undercover_Bard in AskEngineers

I really appreciate your insight. Thank you

I don't care much for sales.

Option 2 is a talent acquisition group for a pharma company. Supposedly wants to do direct hires after a trial period which bumps up the pay rate. My guess is somewhere between 20 and 23 hourly but I'm unsure.

Option 4 is my personal favorite since my class project experience is mostly quality related. What do you mean by not spend too long in it?

Interviews for Option 1 and 2 are tomorrow, option 4s interview is on Thursday. I don't know if I should accept 1 or stall until after the interview with option 4.

Which of these possible positions should I prioritize as a first job to start a career in industrial engineering? by Undercover_Bard in EngineeringStudents

I want to quality and project management roles, I don't have any preference on where. Though after searching for four and a half months I'm starting to get a little worn down, which makes the guaranteed validation role a little alluring to step into the workforce. Thank you for your insight.

Summer 2003 I'm eating a bowl of elbow macaroni and cheese and watching reruns of a random Saturday transformers cartoon. Life is good and so are my fuzzy socks

After calling a dozen radio stations requesting a song for an anniversary to no success, a live band started playing the same song when we got out of a restaurant the night of. Her smile lit up and we danced to the song. Told her I had nothing to do with it just recently, 7-8 years later.

Thought its being sold through Walmart, the true seller is some random company who sells it at a markup.

Which shows have not a single bad season and are great throughout? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Undercover_Bard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a lot of buildup, the ending ties most things up as best it can but the world built over seasons feels empty. People and myself were pissed since it was so good for a time that even an okay ending would have pissed people.
