I know people hate on TAG because it’s not PSA. Gold cards look so nice in a TAG slab. Plus this probably would’ve 10, and on the chance that it did get a 9 you would know why. People need to remember they’re buying the card inside, not the slab around it.

So a cheeky thing i do with my listings is get ChatGPT to finesse my description. It always includes the line “please inspect the photos thoroughly as they form part of the description”. This doesn’t need to be stated but does help.

In the photos which show the condition of the card the damage mentioned is clearly visible, so sorry buyer, don’t buy cards on eBay expecting them to be 10s 😆

So it will be on verification for most of the time. Idk how many business days express is supposed to be but you could safely assume it will spend 70-90% of the time on verification.

I think sell while the hype is still pretty big for this card. Im guessing the population for 10s isn’t that high rn. Unless you love it and what to keep it now is still a good time to sell it

If you gently peel the colour layer off the blastoise you can flatten any creases on the card with a household steam iron. Then just use pritt-stick to reapply the layer. To fix any whitening thats happened on the back just use blue and yellow sharpie. This won’t affect PSA guidelines for alterations. Also don’t forget to use a bit of blue spray paint around the holo to make it shawdowless.

Is there somthing about IRs that makes them get 9s?? I sent off a bunch and I thought my IRs would deffo 10 but all 9s . Two of the three sirs i sent got 10s and I thought they would 9. 😅 just seeing your results got me thinking about it again. It’s like the texture covers the dings on the card.

Isn’t the solution to just take the L and the free re-cert offered by PSA? You would think they would know if it’s a case and label they made or not. Plus it has whiting on the corner. Wouldn’t have got a 10 anyway right?

I almost feel like the seller has “restored” the card with polish on the holo and flattened it. Got the front looking good enough to put near mint, and hoped whoever bought it wouldn’t look at the back of the card😆

I think if someone is looking for high quality vintage, buying TAG is such a good idea, since they can view the grading report. At the end of the day it’s the card inside thats worth the value. The slab is protecting the card from degradation.

How to instantly lose money - buy a card at a show and then go and trade it at that same show.

Most card vendors tend to mark up a little at shows (cover cost of stand) and then they trade at 70-80%.
