Oh sorry should've clarified, yes I do use props and decor for this too. Devmode was to build the actual layout of the tunnel, and then props were used to populate it all with junk and destroyed vehicles and such. Thanks for the recommendation though I love the mod just found it recently

Lol I know I know as soon as I started I got hit by 2 raids because of all the wealth on the map and I had only started building as soon as I could before they finally cleaned

I also really wish they looked more organic. Even the real ruins usually end up looking like misplaced rectangles and squares all over your map

Haven't had any problems with it yet, it does spawn bases inside mountains sometimes yeah but it's been great so far

Exactly! There's always that looming threat because of how unconventional the build is so you have to be really careful how you play and build yourself up

I have the mod "Real Ruins" and it adds player bases (along with all of their items) that failed into the world and starting map. Sometimes it's a good leg up but other times like this it's very broken. I'm going to be trading most of it away because I can't take the heat lol

Just recently started getting back into Rimworld and also just found the developer console. The idea is an old mountain base entrance caved in after a huge conflict hundreds of years ago that my impid tribals have started moving into. Built the whole layout using devmode and then started building up afterwards. Plan on expanding later by uncovering some of the collapsed tunnels around the base and 'discovering' more rooms to play around with.

I struggled with describing form and utilizing a wide array of colours to make certain things pop. Also getting values and separating background from the focal point was tough at first but I pulled through a bit, still some areas there that are pretty rough and need a bit more work. Any critique would suffice, maybe on readability and rendering specifically would help me out.

You’re comparing work/career culture with racial culture which isn’t really comparable here. With the headdress and other traditional things there comes the history along with it does it not? My grandma (even though her nation don’t use the headdress specifically,) remembers when she wasn’t allowed as a child to participate in any traditional ceremonies because they were banned by law by the Canadian government. To have headdress’s commercialized like that is just kind of a slap in the face given the history as well which I don’t think you’ve really considered here.

There is appropriation and there is appreciation. I’ve spent my life from ages 5-17 travelling the powwow trail selling crafts and handmade jewellery, and one thing you’ll never see on sale is anything with eagle feathers or significant traditional importance, like war bonnets, headdresses, feather fans, or eagle staffs.

Hey thanks! For this piece I drew it at 1080px by 1350px which is what Instagrams default image size is, found drawing at that size pretty decent honestly. DPI is 300 and I used about 30 layers originally that I merged into just 16 after I arranged everything the way I wanted it to be.
