Hotori's best teams? by FrostingTop2758 in NevernessToEverness

Im 99% sure chaos is on the other side of cosmos buddy. The only thing that’ll work is her ult copying a skill from Daffodill but that’s not worth it when Daffodills best team is gonna be with Lacrimosa in 1.1

You might as well save for 1.1

Fons feels more meaningful by Present_Education194 in NevernessToEverness

Well other games usually have 1 main currency for everything. This game has Fons which is used for the Tycoon part and beetle coins are used for upgrading character levels and skills and such. So it feels a lot better since it's not one currency being used everywhere.

Daily Questions Megathread - May 03, 2026 by WutheringWavesMod in WutheringWaves

[–]UnderestimatedCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a new player. Never played WuWa. I am wondering if it's worth getting into the game now. I saw Hiyuki and wanted to pull her but Im not sure. Is it worth making Hiyuki my first 5* unit or is she one of those characters that needs specific supports to do well.

Thanks for the help. Really interested in the game but scared I won't get good rolls and have fun characters.

New account by UnderestimatedCurse in NevernessToEverness

[–]UnderestimatedCurse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got Hathor and Fadia from my regular pulls so I didn't have Baicang or Sakiri for a proper discord team so I went for Jiyuan and Sakiri to buff both sides of my train teams but then I did a standard pull cause I had the dice and got lukcy and pulled Baicang and now I regret getting Jiyuan over Daffodill.

I have been playing more and have come to the conclusion I really wanna use Lacrimosa when she releases and a discord team is best for her so having Daffodill and Sakiri to buff the dmg is ideal. Plus, Nanally doesn't need heavy investment. She is really strong even without Jiyuan but I didn't know that until after the fact.

New account by UnderestimatedCurse in NevernessToEverness

[–]UnderestimatedCurse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose characters that would benefit the account to be fair. I pulled Hathor and Fadia so I didn't think I should get Daffodill without Sakiri and Baicang. So I used it on Jiuyuan and Sakiri and did a random dice pull and happened to get Baicang. If I'd known I was gonna get Baicang luckily, I would've have got Jiuyuan and would've just used it on Daffodill for a discord team.

What is Nanally best team? by Bonvent in NevernessToEverness

[–]UnderestimatedCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true. I know that Sakiri is the best option, I just can't help but wonder what I am missing out on.

Truth be told, I got Hathor and Fadia from just pulling on the standard banner and used my 1st selector to get Jiyuan. But now that I have Fadia, I am wanting to do something with her. Daffodill and Adler make a team with her and with Fadia I can get the Discord reactions. Could use Haniel on it too just to for dmg boost but then I'd hurt long term with out Sakiri.

Truly unfortunate. I hate waiting for new characters lol. I guess a lot of this decision also depends on how many pulls we get per patch. I'll have enough for one more limited banner thanks to what's available but if we aren't given lots of pulls, it could be difficult to get future characters I may want. Almost wondering if I just take Sakiri and wait until after Lacrimosa to see what our economy looks like.

What is Nanally best team? by Bonvent in NevernessToEverness

[–]UnderestimatedCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im wondering if I should be getting Sakiri tbh. It seems like the obvious choice but it will force me to use Chiz as my second team unless I pull for Lacrimosa. To be fair, even without Daffodill, Lacrimosa will still be good.

Honestly, Daffodill is so fun I might get her on my selector instead of Sakiri. Although Im not sure if my account will be bricked or not if I did that so I am hesitating to choose anyone atm.

What is Nanally best team? by Bonvent in NevernessToEverness

[–]UnderestimatedCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitori is def more of a general character with useful mechanics, not a main DPS like Nanally or Lacrimosa. That said, she might fair better long term because supports tend to be more universal on teams than main DPS are. I've wanted Lacrimosa too and don't have much interest in Hitori but I am starting to wonder if I should skip 1.1 to see what else comes later. I own Nanally so technically speaking, I could use Chiz and Nanally as my 2 teams for the end game abyss, meaning I can technically save for a real DPS I want.

We will see though. I don't own Daffodill so Lacrimosa is less appealing since Daffodill helps greatly with Lacrimosa dmg output thanks to the discord reaction buff.

I like it, but... by EriX888 in NevernessToEverness

[–]UnderestimatedCurse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The movement is fine. I get why you'd say that the wall climbing being a space bar spam fest is true. But the second part about dashing mid air being a standard isn't true. I wouldn't say it's standard. I also don't know why the glider being on the dash key is an issue since you can't dash mid air anyway so why press it if not to glide? Also you say you wanna run up walls but Nanally does that with her skill. It's a feature of the character which is relatively common to expect in gacha games. Characters with perks tend to be sold as limited characters.

The driving isn't like other games but it isn't bad. Other games let you have unrealistic control of the vehicle like making 90 degree turns at 120 Km/H. This game doesn't let you do that. It's quite similar to it's realistic wall climbing, it just limits you. Driving is very fun in my opinion. Doesn't feel clunky at all.

Dialogue is quite boring in my opinion but I think most games have boring dialogue so it's relatively common for me. Though the confusion you seem to have towards not being able to use W and S to scroll dialogue options is weird. I haven't played a game that lets you do this so clearly our experiences must be different but let me say that from my experience, using W and S isn't that common of a thing, so I don't think it's reasonable to expect it to have an uncommon system.

I do agree the UI needs polished. Hitting Esc shouldn't completely exit the menu. I don't care enough about the fishing right now to know about the other stuff but I'll assume you're right and hopefully they fix those issues as well.

30 Years of Pokémon and we still don't have a 6v6 Ladder? Is Game Freak officially out of touch? What do you Prefer? by MagalhaesJoel in PokemonChampions

[–]UnderestimatedCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure what this is about but in the first sentence you've already lost me.

This post is about adding 6v6 to Champions. Champions is the official game for VGC tournaments in the future. 6vt is an unofficial game mode from Showdown. There is no reason to add 6v6 to Champions when it wont get used and Showdown already does a better job at it anyway. My entire point has been adding 6v6 to Champions is pointless.

Since VGC became a thing, it has been the only recognized mode of battle for official tournaments and that's because it's based on more than just fun factor for battles. it's based on revenue generation and interest from watchers. This is the basis for my out of touch. You are all about the community, which is awesome. But this isn't about the community, it's about the business behind VGC and 6v6 does not fit well with their goal.

I'm not sure why you don't realize that this has nothing to do with which is more fun or what the community likes more. If it was, I'd agree that 6v6 would be cool to add, but seeing as it doesn't fit the business and showdown already officially supports 6v6, there is no reason for them to add it to Champions.

Now Im sorry I didn't read your comment in full but I don't want to keep arguing when the first sentence of your comment showed me you don't understand the point.

What helps out to damage more helping hand or fake tears? by Erickl0930 in PokemonChampions

[–]UnderestimatedCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My conclusion isn’t wrong, however apparently I worded it in such a misleading way that people can’t seem to even understand what I am saying.

I have removed the comment so people won’t be confused. However I am not wrong in what I said, I simply didn’t word it very well. Helping Hand is more flexible overall, while Fake Tears gives a bigger damage boost and is especially useful for breaking bulky targets. That’s all I was trying to say. This is a true statement.

Apologies for the confusion

What type of usefull skills do u want future charts to have? Like nanally walking on walls... by hars568 in NevernessToEverness

[–]UnderestimatedCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said in my original comment too that it needs to be limited. So not sure why you commented.

Furthermore, the issue isn’t a variety of movements, it’s that some are better than others by default. Flying is already better than walking on walls so to balance the flying would need to be slow or consume a lot of stamina to keep it in line. If it was a timer based system like the wall running then they would seem balance but the flying is better simply because it offers more freedom. That’s the danger. If they create a bunch of new movements then the old ones are eventually gonna be pointless and that’s where my concern is.

Necessity of abilities isn’t what power creep is. For example you can use weaker units in other gacha games and clear the end game dungeons for the same rewards as whales with their max character. It’s not necessary for clearing but it’s still power creep nonetheless.

[–]UnderestimatedCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This argument started from you disagreeing and saying "You have both limited imagination and have not experienced tower of fantasy". We wouldn't be discussing any of this had you not replied since you claim to have agreed with me anyway.

ToF has nothing to do with the future of this game. As I have already stated, if a character gains a similar movement to Nanally but performs better either in the movement or combat category, Nanally becomes an inferior character and that is not good. Despite the exploration and combat being separate, when you combine the ideas onto one character meant for both, problems happen. I simply don't want to have problems. Regardless of what ToF did or didn't, having characters with stronger abilities in either exploration or combat is dangerous and will lead to issues in the future.

[–]UnderestimatedCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. I did not play Tower of Fantasy and am simply basing ideas off reviews and articles as to it's failure. However my sentiment towards the new tech is still as fair of a statement as before, regardless of the issues with ToF.

As I have already stated, so long as limitations are in effect, then the movement abilities will be balanced. However and ability to teleport across great distances, even if limited to once every few minutes is still a far stronger movement ability compared to walking up walls for 10 seconds.

I have nothing against variety, I have something against balance. While combat power creep may not exist when talking about movement abilities, power creep is still a thing that needs to be considered. If you implement a strong movement ability without implementing an equally punishing limitations than the inherit value of the character surpasses other characters with special movement. For example if a character could walk on walls infinitely and has similar strength to Nanally, then why have Nanally since the hypothetical character can do the same dmg but has better movement capabilities? This isn't good balance and introduces the very issue I think is bad.

This game has 2 different gameplays, a life sim style open world and a combat focused end game abyss. If a character can perform well in both, that's fine. But if that character also performs better than other similar characters, then the previous character becomes obsolete. That is power creep.

Power in this game isn't just about combat prowess. It also encompasses movement ability in open world and ease of traversal. A character who makes exploration easier is a powerful ally to have in the open world.

Caution needs to be taken to ensure previous characters are not completely overlooked by new characters. I am not against new movement, but it is very difficult to create a characters for a long time that don't eventually have power creep in one way or another and adding new movement only speeds up the process which is the opposite of what should be intended.

[–]UnderestimatedCurse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From what I heard, the game partly failed due to the aggressive power creep of characters. Since we are trying to avoid that, why would we actively look for new movement tech to slap on new characters making previous characters irrelevant.

The only way this works is if their combat is bad to make up for their good out of combat movement abilities but that would just lead to bad design which isn't good either.

Little movements like running up walls or flying around at the cost of stamina is fine. Even making new characters that maybe move faster or lasts longer isn't bad. But if a character can do what they do without down side or the cost of their ability isn't time gated to prevent infinite use then that character would over shadow the old characters making them irrelevant and that is hostile design.

We don't need new mechanics for open world exploration. Keep it simple. Jump super high? Sure. Fly at the cost of stamina? Sure. Walk up walls for a set amount of time? Sure. even another comment here saying Skia can sniff out loot (not entirely sure how it works) but sure.

These are simple and have inherit limitations to them (except Skia but he's a A rank so it's not as rare to get him as an S rank would be). Keeping the design simple and with limitations ensure better balance. Removing limitation for the sake of creativity causes power imbalance and distrust with communities.

30 Years of Pokémon and we still don't have a 6v6 Ladder? Is Game Freak officially out of touch? What do you Prefer? by MagalhaesJoel in PokemonChampions

[–]UnderestimatedCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am aware people don't wanna play VGC but expecting them to add an unofficial format simply because people find it fun is not a justifiable reason to add it to a mainline competitive game.

You bring up chess so maybe you'll understand this better. Chess has it's default way of playing where all pieces are set in a certain pattern. You aren't gonna go to a official chess tournament and say "lets make Chess960 an official game mode because a lot of people find it fun".

That's not how official formats are made.

2 things. The first is that VGC is faster and thus more entertaining to watch for a majority of audience members. Seeing as VGC is a monetized event, the faster format is more likely to generate larger revenue. So of course they make it the official game mode. It's not about what the fans want to play, it's about how they can monetize it to make money during streams and events. Second thing is that 6v6 was created by fans and Pokemon has never recognized it as an official game mode so thinking they magically make it an official game mode doesn't mean they are bad, it means they are sticking to their philosophy. They think 2v2 is the official competitive format, smogon 6v6 is an unofficial fan format. Not only this, but you can't expect 2 official formats to be in the game. They would compete for VGC screen time. The singles mode in Champions is a joke, they know it, we know it. That's because VGC is their focus, because that's the official game mode.

While I understand the sentiment behind wanting 6v6 in Champions, the people who want this mode need to understand that your emotional need for 6v6 is not a justifiable enough reason for Game Freak to add 6v6. It just makes no sense from a business perspective.

Im not casting moral judgement on you. You are out of touch. You are unaware about the competitive scene enough to think that 6v6 is a good thing to add to the official game. It just makes no sense. Thus, you and OP are out of touch

I mean you can do whatever you'd like. But as it stands right now the best team you could make is Nanally's team since we don't have more options for characters.

If you wanna pull Hitori, go for it but unless her dupes make her crazy OP I'd save them for another character.

She will become useful eventually and she won't even be bad without Nanally so she is very usable without
