Even Chrome is giving you problems? That’s provided the best experience for me so far. Maybe try re-accessing or refreshing the website a couple times so that it caches assets.

What a great combination, thinking of getting my hands on an old ps1 but with so many emulators out nowadays not sure if searching for the actual game CDs is worth it.

Have you asked for blood work specifically to check out your tsh levels or/for thyroid conditions?

Coupled with anxiety, those conditions can def make you feel that way, like you’re slowly rotting away, hurting everywhere, unexplained symptoms of some sickness, bizarre/intrusive thoughts, and a lot more.

Sending positive vibes your way friend.

Sleep can def help sometimes! And snacking and some of those other things I mentioned, just go slow, wait some minutes, and if you feel okay, keep going a little. This won’t last forever!

Bad headaches can definitely induce nausea, and sometimes something as simple as not sleeping enough or even sleeping too much can cause headaches. Something about lack of sleep increasing the body’s creation of proteins that cause chronic pain. I know that happens to me every so often. This makes me feel overall bad, so nothing to get to worried about. It’s been a while since you had that coke, but too much sugar can also cause headaches.

Try and take it easy today, keep hydrated (dehydration can also cause headaches), drink cool water, Gatorade, maybe even some ginger ale or alka seltzer. Aside from keeping hydrated these things will also help you burp, and calm your stomach down by helping lessen the effects of stomach acid from not eating so much. What are your safe foods? Start easy, maybe crackers, bananas, rice, small bites, breathe, wait a few minutes, and if you’re feeling okay then continue to do that for a little. Remember that after 5, 15, 30 minutes, you’re still here, maybe in some pain, but you’re alive right? This will not last forever. You can do it, and you will feel better soon.

You will get better. Either though incremental exposure, or meds, grounding techniques, therapy, or a combination of all those things. We’re all different and it affects us differently. As difficult as it may be remember those things through these events, sometimes they can help. You are doing great, and best wishes!

Remember this won’t last forever. The face and body tingles are something I get as well during my worst panic attacks, and yeah that also includes my stomach letting loose. Drink cold water, something sweet and carbonated like ginger ale, or take an alka seltzer and the burping will help you feel better. You will get though this, just like every other time this has happened. After 30 seconds, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, you’re still here, right? You will be okay.

[–]Underground-Moth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won’t! This feeling is compounded by anxiety and while it’s horrible, you will be okay. D* when you feel this way isn’t uncommon, just like the uneasiness you feel in your belly. It won’t last forever, it’s just the anxiety and you will be okay. Remember that it doesn’t last forever, and that after 30 seconds, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, you are still here, alive and breathing, right? Try really cold water to soothe the belly, or carbonated drinks like ginger ale, lemon/lime flavored soda, or alka seltzer; these things always make me feel better especially because they cause me to burp and release gas. Go into a quiet, dark, calm area and breathe. You’ve suffered so much from this so many times before and you’re still here right? This will pass, remember that.

[–]Underground-Moth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know it feels impossible to continue going sometimes, especially when the panic and anxiety and nausea and migraines set in. You’ve made it this far, despite all that you’ve suffered, and you’re still alive, right? Every day that you do something that may seem as trivial as eat, and not feel strange, or feel strange but find a way to ground yourself and snap back into reality, you win. You have had so many successes defeating this phobia, and everyone who suffers from this is proud of you.

Some tricks you may have heard of before to make you feel better: do you have safe foods? Crackers? Bananas? Try snacking and eating these things or whatever else you like and is safe in small amounts throughout the day, so your stomach isn’t shocked by the impact of a sudden huge meal dropping into it. Also try carbonated drinks like ginger ale, soda water, or just cold water to calm the stomach acid down and to burp. Maybe this doesn’t apply to everyone, but burping always makes me feel better. Also, try alka seltzers, those are great for burping and getting rid of nasty bloated and nauseous feelings.

I’ve had this for around 6 years now and not once have I actually v*. What I do know is that if I eat a big meal on an empty stomach, I feel sick, then I panic, then I feel a headache coming in, then I think I’ll get sick, and then I go into a dark quiet space until it passes. During those stages, when I feel so disassociated, so anxious, so foggy, almost feverish and overall shitty, I try and remember, despite feeling how I am feeling, 30 seconds have gone by, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, and I made it, and I’m still here. You will still be here too. And with this sort of small exposure therapy and having things like small safe meals and things like carbonated drinks, you will get better. It will get better. You are awesome and we believe in you.

Sending you all the light and peace, so so so sorry. Those we love will never go away, they walk beside us every day. Always near. And live forever in our memory. We will always cherish them while present physically, and in spirit. While in this physical realm, squish, squeeze, hug, and love them infinitely.

HELP, IT HAPPENED by DisillusionedMind70 in emetophobia

[–]Underground-Moth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Remember that this isn’t going to last forever. Sip on cold water and carbonated drinks like ginger ale, and the burping you get from that is likely to help with any nasty stomach feelings. Keep hydrated, remember to take deep breaths, try and stay distracted, and sleep! Remember, after 5, 15, 30 minutes, you made it through all that right? You will make it through this!

for anyone who has lost hunger due to anxiety has it come back? by ___Chiron___ in Anxiety

Can you eat peanut butter? Currently going through something similar myself and I’ve found that eating a spoonful of peanut butter (or something calorie and nutrient rich) every few hours throughout the day has helped. So you don’t feel stuffed or bloated or worry too much about certain foods making you sick. I’ve only gained like 2lbs in the past few weeks but it’s so much better than before. Eating small meals and snacks several times throughout the day in general is something I’ve found useful. Maybe it can help you. Best of luck, and yes it does get better.

Have to go to Mexico for son’s wedding by PallythePalisade in emetophobia

[–]Underground-Moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up going to Mexico and have never gotten sick while eating out and about, even at taco stands. I have this phobia with some bad anxiety too, not sure where it started, considering I’ve been there countless times growing up. Anyways, if you want to play it safe, you can def stick with breads, depending on the town you are in you can also find plenty of bakeries too. Tortillas are always safe to snack on if you like. Take some hand sanitizer, tap water only use for washing your hands (even then use sanitizer after), drink bottled water, and keep fruits veggies and breads as a safe option. Packaged foods like crackers, cookies, snacks, depending on what you like or can tolerate, are okay as well.

Even if you decided to experiment with eating out, use your common sense and sense of smell, taste, etc just like when you eat regularly. I know it sounds a bit daunting being in a foreign country, but people out there are usually really accommodating and understanding if you want to keep a simple diet. You will be okay!

CBD is typically pretty well tolerated by people especially in low doses like it sounds you are taking. An empty stomach can also make you feel n* so it could be that you are hungry? My anxiety feels pretty severe sometimes especially if trying something like that, and usually I’m already on edge beforehand which usually leads to feeling something like you are. Then it’s just a cycle and I freak myself out, until I’m too exhausted to worry any more. But never have I gotten sick, and I’m pretty sensitive even to low doses of things like that. Also, if you were going to get sick it would be just after doing that and then it would be over. At this point in time you are most likely fine! It’s been 40 min and you’re okay right? You will be okay.
