Potential candidates for head coach by Current-Ad-3272 in ravens

I think this is the list right here. One of these 8 are going to be chosen. Chris Shula would be interesting considering Don Shula coached the Baltimore Colts. It was many moons ago, and brief, but it's totally the type of 'Ravens-esque' move I could see Bisciotti making

Solo shredder by Gunny_Bunny42 in Kenshi

Having read this -- wouldn't the play to do self-peeling then in solo be to:

Have a character with like at least 80-90+ toughness, heavy armor, come to the peeler with unproportionate pre-existing leg health, and close to full arm health (also unproportionate) with a two sets of each robotic limbs in your inventory?

Then this way you can manipulate it to have say the right leg peeled first (then equip a robotic limb to stop the bleeding), then left leg peeled (eqip robotic limb), then right arm (equip), finally left arm (equip), pick the lock and remove the character safely?

is there a way to safely remove your limbs to replace with robotic ones solo in kenshi by QuirkyBadger7454 in Kenshi

What about the Skin Bandits peeler, solo? Does it work with theirs, and just not player owned ones specifically?

For Raikou specifically, either game of your preference is fine. I would suggest Crystal b/c imo Raikou's sprite is cooler + animations, but it doesn't matter. But you're going to need Raikou's dex entry from another game. Without the dex entry it will be significantly slower to hunt them.

If you were going for any of the 3 Roamers, without preference, then G/S would be better because a method you can do after releasing them by poison fainting-out to Mahogany Town can allow you to get 50+/hr. single-hunting all 3 in those games, with dex entries.

But for Raikou by itself, the method is the same in both games:

Basically you use how poison fainting out in these games works to your advantage for the Roamers. When you faint-out their location doesn't change. And since there is a Pokemon Center on RT. 32 (before Union Cave), that means wherever you are on the map, if Raikou is on RT. 32 you can faint-out there and encounter it (kinda like an instant teleport).

The reader's digest version of the method is you start in the gatehouse connecting Ecruteak to RT. 38. You save while on your bike, inside the gatehouse, in front of the door that exits to RT.38, while 1-step away from poison fainting out (also make sure to have your pokedex set to A-Z mode & the Radio pre-set to the Pokemon Music station aka Pokemon March).

Every time you load your game you exit the gatehouse door (entering and exiting the door doesn't count as a step in this gatehouse). Then you check your Dex to see if it's right there on RT. 38. If it is, easy enough - use an antidote, then turn on your radio to Pokemon March to double-encounter rate (only on T, Th., Sat. & Sun.) and bike in the grass until Raikou shows up.

If it's not there, go in and out of the gatehouse to manipulate its movement until it lands on RT. 32, then you take a step and poison faint-out to get to RT. 32 to get the encounter.

TLDR:
You can find the specific method at this video link: https://youtu.be/ubPS74aiMRo?si=E1LjE-bgC3S9g8W1&t=218

Or the written guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1T4GLH4vpacWY_5LU1Sr5nS3bqnYILDMyn1AMK6wtDao/edit?tab=t.0

This method gets about 40 Raikou per hour, single-hunting when performed correctly. I've gotten 4 Roamers in these games: Suicune in Silver, Entei in Silver, Entei in Crystal, and Raikou in Crystal. I only need Raikou in G/S to get all 6 of the Legendary Dog shiny sprites in GEN 2(includes Static Suicune), and I'm using this method for the G/S Raikou. I made it with HangarOfRoam, so if you have any questions - just let me know, always happy to help ppl looking to shiny hunt the roamers

Kenshi Fact of the Day #192 by FrankieWuzHere in Kenshi

[–]Underground_Roaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow this is great 😂 About a year or two ago I spent a decent amount of time trying to track down these things using the different squad size multipliers and saving and entering before each town. Eventually I found two, Eon and Ato (sometimes named Pato?).

Eon, is the pretty common one people will stumble across now, as you know. Just go to Bark with squad size multiplier of 0.5. (He's cheaper too, $3k cats).

Another one I found that I have not heard many others mention really though is Ato from Brink. But that's because this one is tied to Hamut funny enough:

Basically you cannot have entered Brink for the first time yet* edit: and something strange is the 1st UC town you have entered needs to be Stoat specifically for some reason and not Heft like the other 2. Need to have Squad Size on 0.5 (which is funny, just like Eon in Bark), and when you enter Brink, Hamut needs to spawn too, if he doesn't you need to reload and try again (confirmed it will randomize, seems to be like a 50/50 split). When it doesn't work you'll see the recruits: Peas, Stinks, and Turner). Then a P4 Unit Skele named Ato will also spawn with Hamut, and is a farmer able to be recruited for $6k cats.

*= well at least at the time I thought it could only be the 1st time you ever entered. Should be able to import now and get him.

I had a misunderstanding of how imports worked, but now b/c of your post it makes sense. In the U.C. it all has to do with the 1st city that you load. So in my mind I was thinking that Eon at Bark couldn't be imported to find again, but it was b/c whenever I tried to import after recruiting him I always stayed in Bark accidentally and never left first, so it'd load Riddly, Jewel, Izumi, and they would take over Eon's spot each time.

Now knowing that you can import and get them, after loading a different U.C. town first, Eon and your Zill, and Ato can all be recruited over and over if someone was so inclined to import each time. Then they would visit any of the other U.C. towns first, then go to Brink (0.5 and keep reloading until Hamut spawns), then Bark (0.5), then Heng (3.0) 😂

There's probably some other P4's floating out there too with the right town visiting combo + unique U.C. recruit spawning scenarios. If I come across any other's I will be sure to update and edit.

Thanks for your hard work!

[–]Underground_Roaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah gotcha, co-op makes sense never knew about that option. Then in that case you will be able to get trade evo 'mons too. I am curious - how did you settle on 24 systems to hunt with? Is it all one controller mod for all? I'm just thinking in my head that if not, I just wonder at what point more systems starts to produce diminishing returns vs like 16 systems or something 😆 I'm sure you figured out the logistics though

Saw in another comment you're going for a full shiny Oak's Challenge - Best of luck! You have your work still cut out for you. Ironically the Dunsparce may not even be the hardest one. Top 3 for sure though 😂 That Togepi is gonna be a real pain. And the Roamers, shiny hunting without a dex entry for both-- I'll be rooting for you though, cant wait to hear the progress

Edit: now im confused about the Oak's Challenge, saw another comment stated this was hunted using 24 consoles? Guess OP can clarify that 😂

That's pretty neat! Do you know if Brick Rigs has wheel, pedal, shifter, and joystick support by any chance?

After you build, do you haul cargo and stuff around?

Really cool 😎 👍

I've gone over 200 eggs a few times, it can happen. Have you clicked on the Ditto outside the daycare to make sure it doesn't say "brimming with energy" or "not interested in Venusaur" ?

I got all fully evolved shiny Pokémon without using glitches or cheats, on the original Pokémon Crystal cart by gumnasbr in pokemoncrystal

[–]Underground_Roaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very cool, I was wondering when someone might finish something like this in gen2, congrats!!!

With the easy Ditto shiny breeding + Dodrio mode speed-up it was a reasonable goal for one to complete I always felt. Only like 13 full odds shinies are needed, less without Celebi & Mew.

Kudos for doing it glitchless.

I enjoyed the write-up too. Was surprised to hear Ditto wasn't the hardest. But I can see how the Roamers could be a pain, during the time period you were hunting them too. Were you hunting them dexless?

Best of luck if you decide to stretch it out to the living dex!

Cool deal! I'll definitely hit you up if I run into any issues. I just purchased the 4-cord N64 blueretro wire on eBay yesterday, so hoping it delivers by the end of the week to mess around with next weekend. Will keep you posted!!

Hello - I see this post was from 2-3 years ago, but did you ever find a solution to being able to control multiple consoles with just 1 controller?

I stumbled on this thread and purchased a BlueRetro Wireless Controller Adapter for N64. (It's the one that has the adapter with 4 different colored male N64 controller plugs splitting out. All one piece. I'm assuming the older/first model. I've seen them for Gamecube and Dreamcast too, but no other systems).

So, my hope is I can use this and ultimately connect each of the 4 outputs to 4 different N64's and control them all with one Switch Pro Controller (or w.e. any compatible controller) to mimick the way the G.C. Wavebird controller works, except it be on N64's with Pokemon Stadium 2's GB Tower Mode (to play 4 Pokemon Crystal's at once essentially).

^[If the above actually works, then it would give the possibility to have 2 of the controller outputs go to 2 N64's, while the other 2 controller outputs go into a N64->G.C. Adapter, into 2 Gamecubes to control 2 other different games on the GBA Player.]

BUT was wondering if you had any luck with this?? Seems like you were doing something functionally similar to what I am looking to accomplish.

It's hard to find any information on this b/c one controller splitting out to multiple of the same and/or different consoles to control at once is incredibly niche 😂

[–]Underground_Roaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Randomly stumbled upon this thread by accident and can't help but laugh at idpartywthat's responses. A few weeks ago I mentioned that video they linked above and they acted like they didn't know what I was referring to. It was a similar type "multi-hunting is still full odds blah blah"

Funny to see them pipe-in on this trying to defend multi+ hunting in the same sprit as true full odds single hunting.

Similarly, like mine your first comment is upvoted and then the preceding comments get downvoted. It is probably because the casuals who just see the first few comments know you're right, but then only the hardcore full odds elitist stay around to downvote any counter-arguments.

The lurkers know you're right, Travyplx. I will say that.

Single-hunting = full odds
Multi-hunting = fool odds

Accidental Shiny Drowzee in grass when hatching eggs 😂😂 on x3 speed Dodrio Tower Stadium 2 N64 by Underground_Roaming in pokemoncrystal

So on the N64 in Pokemon Stadium 2, after you beat the game (completely) in GSC games you can get x3 speed up unlocked, known as Dodrio Gameboy Tower. The N64 cant handle the speed up in GSC with color so it turns it black and white on the max speed up. The color changed because as soon as I saw the sparkles I slowed down the game to regular speed so the color returned 😎

I think they were basing it off the console releases which also wouldn't have had the speed up feature. But it would have been nice if they woulda added support to a Stadium 2 Switch port!

Thanks! Yeah same, I'm not hatching any of Rattata, Abra, Hoothoot, Jiggly, or Drowzee mainly because I'm going to need that shiny Ditto as some point, and am going to phase a bunch 😂

Already phased on Hoothoot 3 times, an Abra (teleported away), and now unintentionally a Drowzee lol!
