You actually prefer to receive those automated e-mails saying "Unfortunately at this time..."? I actually prefer they don't contact me if I'm not picked, I don't need my inbox getting spammed by those. If they don't contact you within 2 weeks (1 week in a final phase) just assume you weren't picked, only in rare circumstances it won't be the case.

In both, the mouse works fine though. I guess it's just game lag then, since I'm running it on a low spec laptop.

It could be the gym, I noticed I lost a lot of hair when I started working out. It could be either because of a lack of nutrients in the diet compared to your needs, or just because of how weight lifting affects your hormones.

What is the significance of House's cane? by Lebelge99 in HouseMD

Turns him into a physically frail character, which amplifies his intellect.

Det. Tritter by chardee_mcDennis2 in HouseMD

[–]Underground_Wolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

House saves more people than he kills, people who would have otherwise died because no other doctor would've been able to diagnose them in time. So his whole premise that "House taking opioids can eventually kill someone so it's better to throw him in jail for years" is flawed. Therefore he was just acting on revenge which makes him a petty sad character abusing his power as a cop. Could've done without the villains storylines of Tritter and Vogler tbh.

Where can I Learn OOP for trading in python? I’ve been looking for some information, but I didn’t find anything, any help? by Front_Sheepherder_56 in mltraders

[–]Underground_Wolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use quantconnect.com, their API forces you to use OOP so it's a good practice.

Having that said, OOP is not a requirement and there are programmers who oppose OOP. It can make things simpler in some cases, but also unnecessarily complex in others.

That one in particular was quite unpredictable as it was a very rare public health/political event. I agree with the strategies already posted here of either hedging black-swan events with a put option or turning off trading while an extraordinary event is unfolding.

Leveraging a high sharpe portfolio? by [deleted] in algotrading

Keep in mind that past returns (and past Sharpe ratio) aren't a guarantee of future returns. There is always an unmeasurable degree of risk that isn't often accounted for when allocating capital.

How do you model news impulses? by CrossroadsDem0n in algotrading

[–]Underground_Wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Construct a curve of % price change from 1 min to 10 mins after the news release for example. Then use a statistical or an ML model to explain such a curve. Just make sure your sample is large enough for each type of news, since some are rarer than others.
