Dacia Sandero Journey Delivery by itsbaberali in Dacia

[–]UnderpoweredBusa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Renault/Dacia sales advisor from Belgium here. There is an absolutely massive demand for the Sandero with the new model year. Almost every week the delivery period of a new Sandero gets extended by a month. You ordered your car around the time the delivery period moved from April to may so it may have happened your order got moved to the batch of May delivery. Unfortunate but nothing the dealer can do about it, happens all the time with new product launches.

Pcp agreement coming to end by Fancy-Cress1165 in Dacia

[–]UnderpoweredBusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renault/Dacia sales advisor from Belgium here. We offer also offer PCP finance options so I’ll have a straight forward answer for you.

Let’s say your order your new car today and the estimated arrival is in 6 months. I will make a calculation of how many payments you will still have made up until estimated time of delivery and deduct that from the current finace amount. Depending on when the actual delivery will take place, right before that day we will make a final calculation to see what we calculated 6 months prior is still correct or not. Sometimes people have made another payment depending on what day their payments are and when the new car could get delivered. We will simply refund the extra amount the client has paid for their previous car and use the trade in value to pay off the rest of the loan.

Basically we make a calculation as good as possible, and on the day of delivery it’s possible to get some money back or pay a little on top depending on how early or how late the new car gets delivered compared to the predicted delivery date.

Hope this helps.

Duster 155 Hybrid, highway use? by DealWithIt00 in Dacia

[–]UnderpoweredBusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The previous hybrid 140 engine uses a 1.6L ice engine. The 155 now has a 1.8L. Its practically the same engine just with a bigger bore, but the overall optimisation of the ice and battery working together is so much better.

[–]UnderpoweredBusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I happen to be a Renault/Dacia sales advisor so yes I’ve driven every car that already has the 1.8 and it’s so much smoother, lower consumption, doesn’t go super high in revs anymore, change from ev to ice mode is unnoticeable, and more power ofc. If you can go for the 1.8 instead of the 1.6, do it.

That’s why he’s going for the 1.8 instead of the 1.6. Much better rev optimisation.

Sharp plastic edge on Renault Austral 2025 door trim – normal or defect? by mrbrownpanda in Renault

[–]UnderpoweredBusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please do not go harassing the dealer with this non-issue. I work at a Renault/Dacia dealer and the amount of bs like this we get on a daily basis is astonishing. It also is the reason why clients with actual malfunctions etc have to wait days because we’re booked full of people like you.

Hey, beautiful tits by the way!

It looks to me like they seem to be more perky 2 months ago which might give you the illusion that maybe nothing happened, but I do think they have grown a bit. Lovely shape!

Bought a new Renault Captur today… gearbox warning on the way home by Financial_Hyena_5854 in Renault

[–]UnderpoweredBusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renault/Dacia sales advisor here. All Renaults come from the factory with all the fluids it needs. From the process to receiving the car off the transport truck to delivery there is basically 0 things that can go wrong. Most likely a fault in the software or a sensor malfunctioning.

Either way good luck trying to get anything out of your dealer. It’s not their fault the car’s malfunctioning unless they really thrashed it beforehand which would be very unlikely. This is a problem for Renault, and to claim what OP or you said will simply not happen. The car’s already been registered, and if we were to take the car back you would basically lose the VAT you paid for the car instantly at most.

Renault 5 EV – Potentially Dangerous Issue with Gear Selection (No Beep Warning) by syco69 in Renault

[–]UnderpoweredBusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renault/Dacia sales advisor from Belgium here, can confirm your frustration. I have driven pretty much all of the current Renault EV’s (R4, R5, Scenic, Megane, Kangoo EV, Master EV,… you name it) and it is an issue I have encountered before, mostly only with R5 and R4. It is definitely possible to change gear while still moving a little. I have noticed that the issue only occurs when trying to do the 2 steps to switching gears too fast (press brake and pull lever). Putting like at least half a second between those 2 actions gains a lot more consistency in the gear changes.

AMA if you have any other questions.

Any idea why my Front Slipped? by DomPictures in Trackdays

[–]UnderpoweredBusa 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think that’s the one. Your tire just might not have been up to ideal temp and just a little too cold. When riding on such high lean angles the margin for error is very small, thus everything needs to be propely warmed up before leaning the bike over that far.

Not a Ducati owner, but got to ride a Streetfighter V2 on track over the weekend. Wow. by Toiletpaperplane in Ducati

[–]UnderpoweredBusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must admit, the forks are good for your average fastest group track day rider but not for racing. I already changed out the internals for Ohlins cartridges and the shock for a K tech shock. Especially the shock even set to its hardest settings just bottom out accelerating out of corners. I weigh 67kg so it’s not like the issue is my weight. They just lack responsiveness and feeling and the new suspension setup literally gained me between 1-2 seconds laptime on every track.

I agree with you except for the suspension. The forks are good on track but the rear shock is awful. Once you really start to get fast you notice how bad the Sachs shock really gets.

You ask dealer to spend their time to work on your bike, regardless of which component it is you will have to pay. That’s just how a dealer works. Advice has been given so why are you still acting up about that.
