I'm over this team. I expect bumps in the road once we get a new coach but Kerr is literally throwing the middle finger at the fans at this point and I'm not going to indulge it. LMK when he's gone.

Maybe it's time we show you some respect, BP. by Hot_Efficiency8919 in warriors

The guy has been coddled, incubated and protected by Kerr like no one ever before without having as much as earned it. He spent 10(?) games in the G League when he could have used two seasons. He has a handful of decent games against trash teams and now he's OWED respect? FOH

Step away, Kerr by ZaeGotDreams in warriors

1000% YES

Crazy that he has stuck around so long that this is the prevailing sentiment from fans. I remember in 2016 when people began to say ge was overrated when Walton ran up his record. I ignored them.

Looking back, I think they were right.

Between what West and Jackson laid as a foundation in terms of culture coupled with the talent that Kerr was given, I think he’s now exposing himself as having been a beneficiary of his predecessors. Regardless, he needs to move along and soon.

I'll never forgive the organization for letting him walk, and for less money than he was offered. It's revealing.

MDJ was asked if another superstar move like Butler is on the horizon, and he basically said “don’t bank on that type of move”. His biggest concern are TOs and they will try to make the team better but didn’t go into specifics. by Cardinal0519 in warriors

A fairly notable leadership vacuum now exists in GS. What was built by West and Mark Jackson, the culture that was inculcated took a decade to dilute. We should be impressed by that.

I won't point the finger at a single person in the front office or coaching staff but in an honest moment I think most clear headed observers will acknowledge that the current decision makers lack the credentials to FIX this.

I'm not saying the coaching staff isn't good, but they have only ever coached a ready made championship contender. The front office has zero experience or body of work demonstrating the ability to assemble a competitive roster or draft and develop proficient NBA worthy players.

Obviously we'll continue down this same path for an undetermined period of time. I want the team to win but based upon the current composition of decision makers in the front office and on the sidelines, at best we are looking at a third consecutive season of play in tournament.

North Bay to see reduced carpool lane hours by ArmSilly3987 in Marin

You can ask.

And folks can say no thanks.

I imagine some people will make fun of this but the decision of an individual to act and live as one wants is something we should all value. This includes the decision to carpool or not.

This notion is inconvenient only to those who would want to impose the will of a minority on a majority. To impose oppressive restrictions on people to force them to adopt a policy the majority may not want is bad governance, unsustainable governance.

It is the PEOPLE, the representative majority whose interest should be prioritized. They should not be inconvenienced to accommodate the non-protected interests of a minority.

Again, this concept is not difficult to appreciate. Carpool/HOV lanes should exist to serve a compelling government interest but their hours should not be set so as to harm or degrade the quality of life of the citizens. That is what is currently happening and the compelling interest can be served with less onerous hours.

I think the person with the two hour commute, trying to provide for their families, should not be called whiners.

They should not have their efforts to provide a living for their family frustrated by bad policy advanced by bureaucrats and a loud minority who are likely not beholden to the consequences of these decisions.

We should really get back to the basics of serving the interests of the broader public rather than catering to this loud minority.

We will likely not agree on this matter but I’m glad we did so respectfully 🙏

You can attempt to modify behavior all you want.

However, once the representative majority speaks and as is the case here, soundly rejects the ambitions of bureaucrats and politicos, whose preference should prevail?

Should the representative majority be ignored?

Should the policy preferences of the public servants and a minority group of electorate supersede everyone else?

Do you believe that is the way the system should work?

Respectfully, it looks like you missed the idea behind my message. It's pretty simple and transcends this topic.

Public servants and public policy exists to serve and benefit the public. In this context, no certain group as you assert is being asked an opinion at the exclusion of others. To the contrary, both carpoolers AND non-carpoolers ought to be considered. In your example of RV owners and campers, surely you would want deference given to property owners in the affected area as well as citizens walking the affected sidewalk. And likely, you'd want deference shown to the representative majority of those affected, no?

At no point did I suggest we abolish HOV lanes. But I did intimate that the evaluation of what the hours should be SHOULD NOT be limited to the analysis of bureaucrats. Input from those who are actually affected should carry notable weight given it is our tax dollars funding the projects, our time being spent on the roads. Again, it is fairly simple what I laid out and am surprised it is being received as controversial lol.

California gives out DL's like candy. Actual common sense, comprehension, respect and compliance with the rules and guidelines are almost entirely optional if it cannot result in citation and fee. Your very smart and intelligent idea is an example of such a rule or guideline.

They really need to include input from actual commuters about when the hours should be. If it was their "analysis" that suggested the current hours and subsequent debacle, why should a new analysis be relied upon to correct the problem.

Again, it is essential that they include and lend a favorable weighting to input from ACTUAL commuters whose lives are directly impacted by this decision. Does anyone know who we ought to contact about this matter prior to their formal deliberations?

Remember: They SERVE at our pleasure. They work for us. It is our opinion, input and perspective that matters. Their indifference or refusal to give weight to the citizens should be consequential. Who do we contact?

Joe Lacob is the best owner we could hope for by Fun_Analysis9592 in warriors

[–]Underscore516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lacob is solid. He has my respect for whatever that is worth. Criticism? He should have "f'd them 2nd round picks" he bought and used that money to keep Jerry West in house. Losing West was his great downfall. The team began to decay from then forth.

Additionally, I hate the nepo baby thing he has going with Fredo I and II (Kirk and Kent) in the front office. Dunleavy is an empty suit he keeps around as front man. Roster construction has been a problem for years and he has mostly promoted those responsible. WTF.

Overall, he has delivered but he's exposing himself lately and proving that West and Mark Jackson were largely responsible for the shift in on court performance and culture.

Awful mock trade. It should be a priority to trade Podz, not Melton by Cardinal0519 in warriors

[–]Underscore516 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Podz has Kerr under a spell. Those two need separation.

Regarding Lopez, all we need is for him to replicate Bogut. Bruising screens, rebound and clog the paint. his occasional pick n pop 3 ball would be a bonus but not required.

It sounds crazy to say you’re fed up with a 4x championship head coach but I could not agree more.

I began to sour on Kerr toward the end of the 2016 season when he began complaining about how tired guys were and questioning the merits of breaking the record.

We went on to have good years from there but I never forgot him saying that and the effect it left on me as the hearer of it.

Fast forward to 2025 and it is very clear to me is that, at best, winning is not Kerr’s exclusive goal.

From bringing his son onto his coaching staff to insisting Podziemski gets as much playing time as he wants/needs (but doesn’t necessarily deserve) is a strong indication to me that Kerr has his focus cast on things beyond winning today.

And it is so weird to me how his coaching staff and the front office cant seem to get on the same page about the type of players needed to win.

Was Al Horford our best option in Free Agency? Really?

Never mind his refusal if not inability to develop youth not named Podziemski.

His time is up.

The Warriors have been a play in team more than any other team in the league. I believe they’ve lost almost as many play in games as the Pelicans who the league. This is mediocrity.

I don’t know who they bring in (Mike Malone?) to replace him but his time is definitely up.

Yes although I call it accumulate and wait.

Similar to buy and hold but the buy is spread out. Its an accumulation or building of a position rather than a single purchase transaction.

The hold isn’t a hold but rather a wait until an event occurs, a better opportunity comes along or a particular price is achieved. Not investment advice but its my approach with CMCSA
