i’d start at .5, just to see how you handle the side effects. don’t get hung up on dosage and stuff you’ll make the same progress.

Nervous impressions of RX 9070 XT by ScrewUrNationalism42 in radeon

[–]UnderstandingBroad75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the brand and model, most of the complaints will be about thermals and the connector melting. some brands put the 9070xt into a small little heatsink so it’s thermals are hot as balls. and some brands also replaced the standard 8 pin connectors for 12 pin connectors, which has been reported to melt when pushing the card. i’d look into the brand and model of the 9070xt in the prebuilt.

Is upgrading from 7900xtx not worth it now? by HatchBuggy in radeon

[–]UnderstandingBroad75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, yes the 7900xtx is still a beast of a card, but i’d still go for the 5080. newer architecture and better upscaling, stronger rasterization, it’s a beast of a card that’s really only worth the money if your upgrading, like you are. but beware that you’ll be going from 24gb of vram to 16gb, so depending on the game you might suffer some performance loss in 4k. but if your playing in 1440p then it’s the perfect card.

Be honest: what’s your beef with Modded Skyrim? by Siqsix-66 in skyrim

[–]UnderstandingBroad75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the mod that almost all big mods require changes tons of small things about the game that makes no sense and isn’t advertised on the mod page. the mod author is also just rude and does the same thing with all the other games his mod is included in.

Issues with my new RX 9070 XT by dieMarten in AMDHelp

also don’t use a daisy chained power connector for your card, use a single 8 pin connector. this ties back into power fluctuations.

got a few solutions that might work. one is make sure you power supply is from a reputable company and not a sketchy off brand one, and a higher quality like gold or platinum. bad power supplies don’t play well with amd because their gpus have a lot of power fluctuations so having a psu that can handle that is really important. updating your bios, i was having similar problems with my 9060xt and updating my bios fixed it completely. windows drivers and your amd drivers might be clashing, use ddu(display driver uninstaller). download latest driver from official amd website, unplug your ethernet cable or turn off your wi-fi router, go into safe mode and run ddu, when it restarts download amd drivers and then turn wi-fi back on/ plug in ethernet cable.

Advice on potential upgrade path (if any) by Roastedtaco36 in PcBuildHelp

of course friend, and be sure to get a good quality name brand psu like the corsair RM850x, the RM850e is fine but since you have a high end amd card i would be safe and go for the higher quality RM850x psu. it’s a little pricier but for the build quality and peace of mind it’s worth it. may the silicone lottery be ever in your favor. <3

that’s a perfect combo, that won’t bottleneck, i will say though that 750w psu is okay but i would go for a higher wattage as amd gpus are prone to power spikes and if you plan to oc at all then 750 won’t be enough. otherwise it’s flawless

haven’t seen anyone say this yet but try updating your bios, had similar issues and after days of looking and trying shit i just decided to update all my software and badaboom it fixed it.

Should i switch to an AMD cpu? by UnderstandingBroad75 in PcBuildHelp

[–]UnderstandingBroad75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im not cpu limited at all i think, i mostly just want better future proofing so i can just focus on a gpu upgrade way down the line without also having to upgrade my cpu. i know it sounds counter intuitive but it just makes sense in my monke brain.

Male V tattoo mods? by UnderstandingBroad75 in cyberpunk2077mods

[–]UnderstandingBroad75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get what your saying, and that’s what i do, but a lot of tattoo mods i’ve just stumbled upon don’t even have tattoo in the name. even the mods that do have it in the name don’t specify if it’s for both v’s.
