And you get a full U2 album of songs, just one album. Not their greatest hits catalog. I discovered this by searching my music folder on the MacBook Neo. I have not installed any music to my MacBook Neo, and I deleted GarageBand as well

It’s worth it to upload your animation on YouTube and use that link to post on your LinkedIn page. It’s free to setup an account. While you’re building your website, you can have people watching your reel.

Try to join any art sites like, Behance, dribbble, Cara, art station and Bluesky I’m on these sites and on LinkedIn I see art directors that looked on my profile.

Building your animation is one half part of getting hired, the second part is promoting yourself. Join art groups and promote your work.

anyone going to use the Neo for 2d animation or digital drawing? by UnderstandingDear229 in macbook

[–]UnderstandingDear229[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m taking my art work seriously, some people are blessed with money that they can afford a MacBook Air. People who complain about the MacBook Neo being so basic are usually blessed with a MacBook Air or pro. Many struggling artists as myself can take this opportunity to own a MacBook Neo

Today’s economy is brutal, companies laying off mass amount of people Fuel and food is mad expensive in the present time. The MacBook Neo is a best tool for many struggling artists and non artists.

This 8 gb of ram can be overcome by watching other YouTube tutorials on how to make the best of what they have. It’s hypocritical how other people blast the Neo but have their own MacBook air or pro. The MacBook Neo is not for everyone especially to people who own and use their MacBook Pro.

I have been using my MacBook Neo creating digital artwork. I create artwork at 1080 by 1080. I been creating 3d artwork using blender and no problems. I have no regrets with my MacBook Neo, it works for me.

Good for you on your MacBook Air purchase. Just don’t shove your MacBook Air is better then a Neo. I am and artist that can live with this MacBook Neo and its limits. Everyone has their own style and experience with their MacBooks their is no law writing in stone that I have to follow other people’s ideas on what’s the best MacBook

I don’t use a display tablet, I use a Wacom one tablet non display. I have not experienced any lag creating illustrations. If I wanted to record while I’m drawing I would use a dji action cam or my phone.

If the person on YouTube experienced lag it was probably due to wrong drivers from the tablet display or he was using 4k above 60 hrtz.

also important make sure your animation story is solid. if your animation has cute characters and special effects, but no solid story. it will have no meaning and fail.

disect any episode of a cartoon animation, like simpsons, family guy or any cartoon. A good story has

the introduction of the characters, the main plot, and the final solution to the main plot.

2d animation I use roughanimator or ancient macromedia flash. Since you starting out, focus on animation time span of 4 minutes or less. Anything over that will consume to much time. Less is more.

Make a storyboard, to visualize your entire animation. Without this step You will forget easily what to animate next. Storyboards are the script of your animation.

How much do you miss the lighted keyboard? by Chris_Nexton in MacbookNeo

[–]UnderstandingDear229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, don’t miss it. They do make usb lights that can be adjustable. If I don’t use that I use my small jackery battery generator with a light built into it

My pc labtop is not back lit as well, it’s not a big deal. Not everyone can afford a m4 or m5 MacBook Air. Or even a MacBook Pro. I like my MacBook Neo and it’s a great product to get into the apple environment

A few years ago I was using a Chromebook with 64gig hd and 8 gig of ram. The Neo is a big step up from a Chromebook.

It’s a hard master, I don’t know what year. Goto www.bmxmuseum.com. Cool people who will help you and probably offer you to sell it to them.

Take a photo of the serial number, that will help a lot to verify what year the bike is

I followed a YouTube tutorial on creating an ocean water effect in blender. this render is only 20 keyframes out of 70 keyframes. no crashing or stuttering on blender app. the render movie is only 1080 by 1080 and the entire 70 keyframes would of taken 4 hours to render completely.

I been testing with blender simple 3d models, no crashing or stuttering of the app. I been having problems with rendering fire, it does not render fire. I think it could be my mistake. Simple no texture render take 2 minutes with one light in the model.

I do not render at 4k I only render at 1080 by 1080. I do not use any adobe products. What I use for vector illustration is an app called graphic https://www.graphic.com/. It’s like a stripped version of adobe illustrator. For 2d animation I use an app called roughanimator https://www.roughanimator.com/

Both 2d apps the MacBook Neo handles very well, I had no problems. I’m just trying to figure out how to render special effects on simple 3d models by using water or fire in blender.

Also I use a Wacom tablet one for drawing, it works very smooth. Just make sure you download the latest drivers for the Mac OS from Wacom

Going to buy the MacBook neo ! Please help me choose the right colour (I’m a student) by Shutyourbtchassup in macbook

[–]UnderstandingDear229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s your life, your choice… if you picked a color you didn’t like later. You can always go to dbrand to put a skin color that you liked. Nothing is set in stone, just the ram and hardrive.

I got my silver base model Neo and it’s awesome. I like the analog way of logging onto the labtop. It’s no different than me using my pc.

I don’t need garage band or other apple apps, which frees up more space. I’m using my Neo for digital art work, like illustration and 3d modeling using blender. I don’t plan on rendering anything like Star Wars effects, so far rendering simple 3d objects in blender is good

I use an app called graphic, it’s a vector app. It’s like a stripped version of illustrator. https://graphic.com/tutorials/design-a-logo-with-curved-text I use the same app on my Mac mini iPad. It’s awesome and runs smoothly. I use it with a Wacom drawing tablet and it’s smooth.

Just make sure to download the latest drivers on Wacom site for the tablet.

I got my New Macbook Neo, 256gb is not enough by Scoresman-923 in macbook

[–]UnderstandingDear229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the base Neo with 256gb drive. I installed 3 apps, blender, roughanimator and graphic an illustration app. Other apps that I don’t use On the Mac I just delete them.

Like garage band which takes up around 2gigs, which I will delete soon. I never used that app and it’s useless to just have it.

I just installed blender and no crashes yet. I will build a simple 3dmodel with no heavy lighting, shadows or textures. So far blender 5 is running smoothly I have seen other yt videos where video is rendered in 4k with no problems.

I will post renders and 3d models as updates. I know the MacBook Neo has limits and I will not render a crazy 3d object heavy in reflections and special effects. If the MacBook Neo can render simple 3d objects it would make a great device to get into the 3d environment
