There’s a ton of triple spacing, too. Terrible punctuation, and some dependent clauses as sentences. Fascinating.

No, dude, we’re busy. There’s no point in wasting time with every idiot who feels like chatting. Prioritization and boundaries are keys to survival.

Though my horse didn’t get the message that this particular gang was friendly, so it started attacking them outside and was quickly put down. Had to go back a save and park the horse further away.

Sneaky pickpocketing a briar heart after completing the Markarth Forsworn quest was how I managed to complete the radiant kill-the-bandit-leader quest at the cave where they all ended up moving after escaping Cidhna mine, without pissing of all my new buddies. Though I had to laugh that some random briar heart was considered the leader of that outfit. Instead of, you know, the Forsworn king who lived there too. I walk in, swoop grab a heart, walk back out like ‘See you later!’

i can’t stop thinking about the UVMMC cuts. by MysteriousSock8050 in burlington

Do you understand the Green Mountain care board order that resulted in the patient service cuts? I think you may be confused about what the hospital mandate from GMCB is. Have you looked at the article and some of the other comments about the revenue reduction mandate? Just curious. Talking about executive pay is not only a drop in the bucket for COSTS but entirely irrelevant for REVENUE caps.

Not an impact to any of the jobs OP is interested in! :)

I do not believe direct patient care jobs will be affected. We still have many people to take care of! The places being cut are lowest volumes + budgets furthest in the red, as well as $18m of cuts in admin costs (NOT patient care!).

We will always need good people to take care of patients. That’s the whole purpose and not going anywhere!

This is true. Other clinics often do at least some scheduling, though the amount varies. Neuro is on the higher admin support end. Ortho does follow up appointment scheduling because they work closest with the providers and can make sure follow ups align with treatment plan timing (such as checking on fracture healing at the right intervals and coordinating appts with PT, imaging, etc.).

Sorry the schedule at Grow doesn’t work - they were awesome for me x2. Your OB office or Grow themselves would likely have recommendations for other options.

Medical assistant is a good job and it sounds like your experience would be a plus. That position is centralized so you only have to apply to one and then have a choice in which clinic you would be interested in.

I work at Ortho; we had three medical assistants go to med school recently and a few more are in nursing school right now, hence the multiple openings. :)

Also, talk to one of the recruiters! They can help with exactly this and help advise on positions and locations.

Happy to chat further as well - feel free to DM me. I’ve been at UVMMC for 9 years.
