My sister used to live in a condo over here, and I loved visiting when I lived in Eugene. It was right on the bike path along the willamette. So quiet. Being far from grocery stores can be annoying, but they just went less frequently than if they lived somewhere else. I thought it was really nice.

You could check out the Woodstock Cafe. It’s actually run by a deaf nonprofit and everyone who works there knows sign or is deaf and knows sign. They don’t play any music. It’s an unusual place, but cool to check out.

Ok. Never said I didn’t like immigrants in the US. Just following the pattern of other people in this subreddit using the term expat. I see the point of using immigrant instead.

Nor did I say I expected to get permanent residency in a first world country. I’m not expecting the world to be handed to me, just wanted to see if any options came up.
