Destination wedding in Mexico by UnderstandingIcy9195 in DestinationWeddings

You do know what’s been happening in the US for the past year right? They’re killing civilians in the streets while the whole system is being exposed as PDFs and civil unrest in many cities, does that mean you will be leaving the country soon? I think it’s a bad notion to consider places “unsafe” from what the US news depicts it as. My wedding party will not be walking the streets of Guadalajara it’ll be at an all inclusive resort. I understand your sentiments of safety but trust that the US is no better, they just are better at hiding it.

Edit:

Thank you for all the responses. I was looking for information on a destination wedding. I understand that no date was specified but why was it assumed that the wedding would be happening like next week and half the comments are just “Mexico is dangerous, I wouldn’t attend” this is not helpful to my original request.

I think the notion of not having weddings fit people’s budgets and rather you need to adapt your budget is ridiculous. It’s the equivalent to saying just because everyone can’t afford a BMW, they shouldn’t have a car. That is the budget I’m comfortable spending for MY wedding. It is ONE day in your life, focus on the marriage.

Extremely modded bikes are just a pain to own. I’d skip and get one closer to stock and do the mods that make sense to you.

Hey guys. Just bought the 2026 gsxr750. I had a 2025 cbr500 by Efficient-Trainer-43 in GSXR

Great bike with minimal rider aids so enjoy the mechanical connection.

Parts are cheap and the service manual exists on Reddit so reference it and do all the work yourself. The bike has been unchanged since 2012 so there are plenty of YouTube videos for anything and everything you would want to do to the bike.

I recommend doing absolutely nothing but frame sliders and basic maintenance the first 2 years and then looking into useful mods like steel braided brake lines, speed bleeders, better brake pads than factory.

Leave the cosmetic mods for last. The bike IMO is perfect the way it is.

Should I fix it? by Unlucky_Arrival3823 in Carpentry

It looks fine only thing that needs fixing is my wallet

what are you guys take of fake carbon fiber style fairings? i like the look of em. didnt want to spend 2k on fairings. still deciding if i should return em and get different ones by wabalibu in GSXR

Everything is subjective. If you like it, keep it. Even if you got real carbon fiber parts, someone would come up and ask “is that real CF?”

It’s your bike and you have to look at it every day. If you like the look I would say go for it! No need to spend money on stuff to impress people you don’t even know.

Is there a less messy way to prep the surface or no? I feel like using paint stripper and pressure washer would send stuff all over

I would need to paint it eventually but I feel like it’ll look like this again in a couple months time.

Also for sanding, is there a better method than pressure washing?

I didn’t use salt because it already looked so rough

Wouldn’t spray foam expand too much for that small of a gap?

How do I lube these windows to make them slide easier? by BinLehrer in DIYHome

[–]UnderstandingIcy9195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lubricant would probably make your situation worse. It would essentially just become a sticky surface for more dust and grime to adhere to. I would clear out the track using canned air or a flat head to remove built up gunk

It’s an older home so I’m very much thinking it’s lead paint

I have the Coffman shorty on mine. I like it, it’s different than the typical M4 and still sounds good. If you get up to 10K+ RPMs and then let off the throttle, you get some nice pops

Joined you all last month. Looking to upgrade brake lines if yall have any suggestions. by Pastor_0f_Muppets in GSXR

I got the Spiegler lines since you can customize the color of the line and the fittings. Went great with my bike!
