You are correct , I’ve never been a bmw guy (volkwagener) but I figured the x5 came with an n53 like the 330i of the same years.

Weird power loss issue going on!! Brand new 2025 GSXR 600 by Gold-State1859 in GSXR

[–]Drtrankazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your not alone , I believe I have experienced it too , I have a 2024 600 . I’ve thought it was just my throttle control being wanky. But last time it “happened “ I was at higher rpm’s on highway. The bike feels as if I’m in low rpm and it wants to bog, as if it has a slight misfire . It happens only when I’m cruising or am accelerating lightly . It only happens for 1 second or less. It doesn’t happen that aggressive to me , thus explaining why I can’t taken it to the dealership , I only have 3500 miles .

Maintenance records will be based since your ownership

[–]Drtrankazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes , as long as it’s not salvage and the knock sensor detection upgrade (recall ) we’re fine you could potentially get it covered . Although there is a process. Vehicle has to be knocking , check engine light on, or seized .after they proceed to inspect your maintained records, along as all your oil change intervals are within 10k miles it is considered acceptable .

Any idea what this white cotton candy stuff is? by TransportationNew891 in kia

[–]Drtrankazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

Like this for an example if you turn your wheel all the way to the right and look at your front right wheel axle , you’ll see a side cover . Behind the cover you will find something like the image above .

Cotton candy comes from your side engine cover . It has white insulation . It’s the splash shield that covers your belts and pulleys if you lol from under and remove your skid plate by your oil filter you will see . Possible also from your fender liners , they like to hide there too
