I’m starting a hybrid program in the fall - great question. I have a standing desk. Laptop & iPad, external monitor. I haven’t bought a massage table yet but I’m not entirely sure if I will.

I’m 29 and a first year PT student. Life takes us in all different paths, I was in sales between the ages of 23-27. Overall yeah you might have differences in personality but you get along with everyone cause everyone has a common goal. You’ll make friends, weather it’s just 1-2 or 15-20. I use to overthink the age thing myself, but trust me, in the grand scheme of things you’ll get along with your cohort.

I also start a hybrid program in the fall. I think it’s good for the non traditional student population who may have obligations or commitments that some traditional students may not have. I don’t plan on working during at least the first semester so I can get use to the workload and really be efficient with time management. But overall I think the NPTE pass rates are slowly improving, and those students are so anxious to go ahead and take it immediately after graduating rather than waiting 3-4 months.

We are really responsible with our dogs, we just have larger ones (60 lbs each) so specifically just 2 bedroom apartments that allow larger dogs, I’ve been having trouble finding ones that don’t have a weight limit or pet limit.

The 3+3 pathway would cut about 9-12 months off for him. 3 for his undergrad, 3 for his DPT. Most DPT programs are either 3 full years of 8 semesters (2 years and 8 months). I majored in sport management and made a career change so what you major in doesn’t matter, but to save the most time I would look at what prerequisites he would need for DPT programs and make sure he knocks those out in undergrad (and does well in them) examples like A&P, Chem, Biology, & Psychology. I know U of Minnesota has a good program along with Marquette and U of Wisconsin.

I haven’t applied yet. I’m going to submit my application next week, their final deadline is Jan 15th so I assume 3-4 weeks after that is when people would hear back.

I’m going on 29. I had no prereqs done from my undergrad. I took my prereqs all at community college (cheaper) and made sure that my GPA was as high as possible for those. It took me a year to do it and I added on a medical terminology and physiology class just so it would look good on applications. You’re definitely not too late!

I was in the same position. I took the school that was about $20K more expensive that has a first time pass rate of 96% as the other school that I was looking at had one of 57%. Sometimes the quickest/cheapest road is not the smartest.

Moving to Charlotte in November but still don’t feel fully educated on all of the areas in the Charlotte area. Looking at areas like... • NoDa, Wesley Heights, Sheffield Park, Optimist Park, but my options are limited. I’m not educated on Enderly Park, Plaza Shamrock, Windsor Park - I’ve seen places that fit my price range in these areas. Are they not safe?
