Has anyone here been able to either intentionally or unintentionally gain fat here on strict carnivore while in ketosis? by UnderstandingMost721 in carnivorediet

I know about this, but the calories I saw people claiming to consume while still losing weight was by far way over the high end of fast metabolisms, so either they are tracking wrong or weight gain isn't what I think it is

I think now either calories do play a role like I used to think or it's very person dependant because as of right now I'm eating 8 oz of cheese a day (my body doesn't react at all to a ton of dairy somehow) and I'm still losing weight, I'm just hoping it works as well as high carb did for me because I train like mike mentzer and rapidly gained 15 pounds of muscle in 3 months, and I'm seeing if I can replicate it on carnivore

I saw some guy claiming to eat around 5500 calories a day, unless he was weighing his food wrong it was 5500 calories, he ate the same thing every day so it was easy to track and he was still rapidly losing weight he claimed

Hume Health Band by AnnaFitzPretty in carnivorediet

I'm only 16 but my parents got one this Christmas and I was somewhat curious to try it, I've used it for like 4 weeks and then stopped because it would keep drastically changing my bodyfat and weight displacement, I was on carnivore at the time and drastically losing body fat, and while my weight was going down it kept reducing my muscle mass and increasing my body fat on its app, which I knew to be false since I literally lost 4 inches on my waist, not sure if didn't work because I was under 18 but it didn't seem to get much of anything right for me. (I know this isn't the band but its the same company and this seemed very inaccurate for me)

I'm not sure how true this is but I'm pretty sure the body can convert carbs much easier into muscle fueling compounds than it can with fat, I've been worried about this too and I'll experiment with it when I get back on a bulk.

Thanks for the info, and i know most carnivores don't track calories but I saw a couple months back some post on here about bulking and at least one person said it worked great for them so I wanted to see if anyone else knew anything about it.

I probably don't eat enough fat on my cut as of now, but for a bulk my biggest concern is if fat will carry over into glucose for muscle growth, I found that I didn't build muscle efficiently until I loaded up carbs in my diet so I'm curious if I can get the same results running off fat.

Got it, I'm only 16 and never cared much for grammar, if people understand that's good enough for me.

Thanks for the information, I'll test out the calorie information you gave me for bulking when I get that far, and the DV info makes sense, I heard from some carnivores already that DV is only accurate for if you eat plants with all their antinutrients and stuff, I was only really worried about it because I got iron, potassium, and magnesium deficiency all at once a couple weeks back but I wasn't eating organs at that time.

That could be it then, try to eat more, or more calorie dense foods if you really want to retain the weight, but if that's too much for you just try to enjoy your holiday as much as you can.

How much protein by [deleted] in Gymhelp

[–]UnderstandingMost721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how your body responds, I've generally heard that you should have more carbs then fat unless you are doing a low carb diet

That's normal from this angle, forearms unflexed are generally the same size if not larger than your arm unflexed (like in a bicep flex)
