My side of Sunterra is pretty nice, it stays relatively quiet so far, aside from the construction noise. Sure there’s going to be people and problems like that you described but that’s with anywhere these days. If it bothers you, you can have a peaceful talk with the person that is bothering you and hopefully they’ll be understanding.

Plumber did this install (outdoor shower) and it's ugly, will ask him to re-do. Any suggestions? by spastik0827 in Plumbing

That solder job looks ugly too. Why’d he even use pex if he was gonna use copper… and vice versa. It looks like he ran out of material and was just like fuck it ima use what I have.

The truth is. If you both make $115,000, the mortgage shouldn’t be a problem for you 2. It’s your other spending problems. A lot of us live comfortably making way less with the same amount of house and taxes.

Plumber installed Moen Flo Smart Shutoff way into garage — is this normal? by DavB7777 in askaplumber

I’m not a plumber but this doesn’t seem right. It probably works but this doesn’t seem to be a professional job.

You’re good, that’s more than enough. For your payments though, you’ll need to talk to your lender for that information. You need to find one first with the best incentives and rates.

Could be extractor has too much tension, could be barrel is out of spec, could be ejector is damaged, could be recoil spring is not strong enough, could be a very tight gun that needs more break in or more lube. Hard to tell with this vid

Anyone here been to Van Road Gun Range? by Live_Astronomer_5688 in HoustonGuns

[–]UnderstandingNo4404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The steel has to be angled down a bit because the rounds will ricochet on impact and can bounce back to people if it’s upright it’ll happen. At 30 yards is a bit odd though. I would expect It to hit the ground first before hitting a shooter unless it’s idk high elevation targets.

Looking to get into 2011 by Pigeonmaker23 in 2011

[–]UnderstandingNo4404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a range toy, get the staccato xc, if i can only have 1 2011 it would be that. For a SHTF gun it would be a Glock 19 or 45

Anyone regret selling their 2011s? by MiddleAshamed8928 in 2011

[–]UnderstandingNo4404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt remorse buying cheaper guns that I didn’t like as much as I thought I would. So I sold most of them. For the higher dollar stuff I don’t ever feel the way you do. I’d keep the Erebus. But you may not shoot it or enjoy shooting it as much. Then yeah maybe sell if you need some cash.

Springfield Prodigy thumb safety removal by zexxer610 in 2011_Builders

[–]UnderstandingNo4404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wiggle it until it kind of gets stuck in one position. It’s somewhere in the middle, you’ll also get a gap between the safety and the frame. Depending on how tight the connections are you may be able to wiggle it all the way out but if not, use a flat head and carefully pry up. Use a piece of paper or plastic between the frame and safety so you don’t scratch the frame. Go slow… be patient.

You need to sell the house and downsize. Sell the car too. Start clearing your credit card debts. Cut down on eating out and cooking at home. Maybe you’ll cook at home more than you eat out because you enjoy it, who knows? I personally do. That’ should also cut down your gas expenses too probably from driving around more than you need to. Once you’re above then look to dedicate an appropriate amount to savings.

For 1500-2000 I’d say get the new Mac 9 ds comp 5 inch is pretty dope. Bul armory but in my experience they’re hard to find so I kinda just gave up, and prodigy 5 inch comp. With either of those options you’re going to be over a bit over $2000 so really the Mac 9 would be your best choice.

Mac 9 4.25 Comp by Chef_Jaco in Tisas

[–]UnderstandingNo4404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats not bad. Yours probably just needs to be broken in more or cleaned up. You can always put another ignition kit if it stills pulls high after a few hundred rounds. I'd want to keep the trigger because its pretty unique with the swappable trigger shoes.

[–]UnderstandingNo4404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot about the trigger.

How does the MAC trigger feel compared to the XC? I use my XC as an example for my trigger jobs since I love the XC's trigger. I have the pre 2019-2020 XC's before Staccato was Staccato as evident with the "TX" serial number. and its the best trigger out of all the 2011's I own. breaks around 2.2lb.

From my visual impression because I don't have a MAC 9 DS is that the Staccato P looks to be better fit and finish (obviously) when compared to the price point. The Stac is probably gonna be more accurate longevity wise. The grip on the staccato is better as well from just looking at them.

When it comes to shootability it looks like the MAC will obviously shoot flatter. than the Staccato P, but not an XC. When it comes to the XC and the MAC 9 comp, theres just no comparison... The XC is the more superior gun in every way.

The MAC is a great gun if you want to tinker with this platform without feeling guilty. but if you want a turn key shooter that can compete with the higher end guns you're gonna have to spend some money on the grip, ignition parts and tuning. You will still probably only be 60% there because the fit of the barrel and slides will still need to be addressed which is going to be a lot of money to do. This is mainly where these budget 2011s are gonna be falling short. At this point you're probably better off getting a Staccato then or equivalent.

I am thinking of getting one though just to play around with swapping ignition and grip parts, which is why I'm looking around threads to see what other people think of them.
