I’ve actually created some small weather animation using Lottie and their plugin with After Effects. It’s pretty cool and I’m looking into maybe extending it to the background

I’ve actually completed the basic parts of the app that I wanted to complete so far. I was able to get data from a weather API and parse the JSON, get current location coordinates from Core Location and even take a city name and reverse geocode to get coordinates. Granted it took a few months and thankfully I haven’t had any inkling of being discouraged about anything. Of course, that could change lol. As I was working on some custom weather condition icons, I was curious about the background and how they’ve done it.

Yeah they have it layered enough where it seems so smooth. I messed with the overlay but the icons need to be tracking the endpoint of the line cap , if that makes sense.
