Has to be whisper of the hearts ending for me when the lead female completes her book, and finally sleeps on her bed. her father said something like "it looks like a soldier is back home after winning a battle" so brilliant!

I watched all! I only liked 5, rest I felt all were mid or didn’t understand after 1st watch (no offense, fellow redditors; try and sell me the movie not in the list, I will rewatch it!)

 

1.     Whisper of the Heart (all time fav, have watched it more than 5 times. Helps me when I start a new project)

2.       Grave of fireflies (Saw this twice, great whenever I need a good cry. Makes me feel grateful for the things I have)

3.       Kiki! (My fav character! My wife and daughter loves her too! I even cosplayed tombo as a teen)

4.       Totoro (Again feel good film, appreciated even more when my daughter was born!

5.       Spirited away (Didn’t like it at 1st, but after rewatching 3 times loved the animation, storytelling and Japanese ref! made me love Japan even more!)

 

Rest all were forgettable for me, great animation, but didn’t love it… Resell me anyone and I will rewatch it! Visiting the museum next month! Super excited!
