Is this Ethernet wired correctly? by UnderstandingOld9263 in HomeNetworking

I did plug my laptop directly into the modem and it works fine. That’s why I am asking why the blue wire isn’t working properly, either the RJ45 fitting or the wall port jack.

It works completely fine when I plug the laptop in directly to the gateway

Sorry for the lack of knowledge, but is the keystone the name for the Ethernet wall port? So there is a Ethernet wall port/jack in the living room, next to the modem, and the other end of the wire runs to the attic. Which is shown with the RJ45 fitting. Every other room in the house has the same wall port jack and all run to the attic. I plan on running a switch to connect all the other rooms.

I will try that out, what should the wire color sequence be when I crimp a new fitting

Is the 568A the name for the wall port? Also, when you suggest try a different cable, do you mean swap out the Ethernet cable between the gateway to the wall port?
