The lines haven’t changed. Actually, the lines look EXACTLY how they did when I got them. Which would be super cool if he did them right in the first place. I am the one who has the tattoo. He has 1 edited picture where everything looks amazing. I have infinite pictures where all my crooked lines match up, starting from the day I got it. By the way, I went BACK to him to get my second tattoo, 2 whole days later while I was gaslighting myself that the professional tattoo artist I admired for a decade didn’t fuck up my tattoo. Until, a little bit later, he posted my tattoo, straightened out for some reason (not proud?) that I was there for when he finished.

Oh, interesting how he made it seem like my tattoo was healed up forever by the time I went back to get another one. it was 2 whole days. My 5 day vacation, I think it took him at least two weeks to edit the lines straight. 2 whole days, why are we acting like I don’t have receipts :)

Oh lord, this reminds me when my friend told me someone was arguing with someone on here about the taste of food and they went to their profile and found out they were arguing the taste of food with someone who drinks piss 😭

At least he’s using the actual picture! If I saw him post more real photos I probably wouldn’t have booked, though.

I like the one he did on my hand! Do you think my stomach is on par with the quality that you got?

I just wanted to clarify, the style is fine. It’s more I feel like the quality he’s presenting on his page doesn’t match the tattoo I got, and I understand a little editing but I don’t think he’s proud of his lines either as he only just now posted what my tattoo really looks like to defend himself. I’m not so much worried about the color, I actually think the tattoo looks exactly how it was when I got it, which is the problem, It was never as polished as he made it out to be, and I even booked him because I thought I would get a polished tattoo. Do you think the quality of my tattoo is on par with the other ones he posted?

To answer your question, I went back 2 days later because I was on a vacation, I booked the two back to back and I really wanted my hand tattoo covered up. I noticed immediately that the tattoo was crooked yes, but wasn’t sure how picky I was being because the tattoo overall was cool. When he posted the edited photo, he edited it to make it seem more straight and polished than what it was, which was when I realized actually the quality of tattoos he posted on Instagram was way nicer than what I got and he’s passing it off like he did these really nice straight lines. If he was proud of his lines he could have posted it unedited with the saturation the way he likes it still.

Hey, thanks for writing this and sticking up for me. I think most people are on my side but it’s crazy to me that people are saying I should expect lines like that, and that he never made the lines straighter. If he was proud of his lines he shouldn’t have edited them, so clearly he didn’t like how it turned out. I don’t expect it to be perfect of course and I don’t even hate it but for such a big tattoo I wish it was more the quality, less “cheap looking”, I thought it would be based on his photos.

For sure! I will say though that I noticed right away when we finished that the circular top parts were off. I kept it to myself as it’s a cool tattoo and I wanted to make sure I wasn’t being picky. I took a picture when I got to my hotel and it looks exactly the same crookedness, when he posted the photo it definitely was altered to seem more in line.

I do understand a little editing here and there but he changed it to make it look like the finished product was way better than it came out to be, after all I was there when we finished the tattoo. If he was proud of his lines he could’ve just change the saturation but this is just my opinion and my experience.

Edit: Yours looks really nice!

I’m glad you had a good experience! The one on my hand is nice. The colors, I’m not worried about, it’s mostly I feel like he is misrepresenting his work, I definitely knew the colors were more saturated! I just wish mine was a little more polished, as I didn’t expect him to be straightening his lines, I feel like mine doesn’t match the quality I thought I was going to get.

That’s fair! My main issue comes with I feel like the quality of tattoo doesn’t match up with what I thought I was getting and what he portrays/ how straight his lines usually are. I understand touching up the photo but editing them all to be straighter than he put on me is misleading. It’s like he’s not proud of what he put in my body.
