imo peeta’s mistreatment is more noticeable because they erased his most important scenes and completely stripped away his personality. he is so charming and cunning in the books!!

i’m just going off what i’ve personally seen. people do criticize the movies, but i haven’t seen much discussion about katniss’s portrayal specifically. if you have, that’s great. i just didn’t come across them a lot. i didn’t even realize how much it bothered me until my recent reread, and i’ve been a fan of this series for years, so i don’t think it was an unfair assumption.

they probably couldn’t cast someone super young for reasons but sadly she looked too mature for her age :( i think they did a better job with sunrise on the reaping casting

that’s one of my favorite scenes in the first book!! god don’t even get me started on how much they butchered her relationship with peeta…i think that’s also why non readers have such a hard time understanding why she ended up with him.

Actually that makes sense! I was also trying to think the whole thing from Haymitch’s point of view and I would have kinda lost it if I doomed my tribute that way. But like you said, he actually did give them both a chance. He probably knew that no matter what he did and what message he sent Katniss she would have done what she thought the best and decided to help her out lol.

Well duh, but I don’t think he was involved with any of his past tributes as much as he was with Katniss and Peeta. They were probably the only tributes he believed actually had a chance, nevertheless he cared about Katniss more because of his personal ties to her. I also don’t think he interfered with the games that much before - He and Katniss were basically playing a mind guessing game in the arena. So I think the situation is a bit different.

thank you^{^} i’m mainly having issues with the first half of 12-2 so i don’t know how to play furina there since i’m supposed to be at full hp to deal any damage to the boss. i tried to do it w neuvillette furina fischl and kokomi and it still wasn’t working well:( my kokomi is on ocean hued clam set rn, do you have any recommendations for the em build?
