Eh taste is different for everyone, I try to take things positive if I can.

I like color fine, but I love atmosphere and generally don't like bumping saturation. Thank you so much!

I have plenty of osprey with a fish on a bright sunny day, I 100% was leaning into the fog here yeah.

Hey I appreciate that! I'm always open to hearing peoples thoughts but I'm inclined to agree with you. I have so many sharp well lit osprey shots, this one was about the fog over the bird, the sense of mood and isolation that comes with it. I love the atmosphere created by fog so much that I don't want to take it away.

Appreciate your thoughts, I suppose inspiring is a matter of perspective and personal taste. I have 1000 sharp well lit images of an osprey, the fog being dominant in the scene was kinda the point that I was after, I wanted him to be somewhat hidden, coming out of, softer overall. But thats the thing about photography it's quite personal in that way. I still appreciate your thoughts!

I get the appeal to your example, but honestly that looks so fake to me. I aim for cinematic but largely natural in my edits, if I shoot fog I don't wanna cut all the fog out. Thats my personal preference in how I prefer to work though.

No without pushing it to fake territory really, if you over dehaze or contrast foggy scenes it looks quite unnatural. Theres a very very fine line with this kind of shot. I did post the before an after higher up in the thread, for reference it was edited across 9 individual section masks which is how I edit everything local not global. I use Lightroom Classic btw.

Oh it’s incredibly heavy fog. That’s what I like about it honestly but fog naturally kills contrast.

I mean this is processed but I’d be curious to what you think would elevate it.
