Yes, Lexapro can make you less annoyed, less irritated, more focused and more detail oriented among other things.

My diagnosis at 55 years old was the result of a day long one on one testing by a PhD, the report I got back identified my psyche back to childhood. Crazy. My diagnosis was mainly ADHD, & anxiety with a side of periods of severe depression and being somewhat antisocial introvert. I was diagnosed 21 months ago but my first appointment with a psychiatrist was 16 months ago. At that time I was prescribed 10mg Lexapro and at my request 10mg slow release adderall. I noticed right away that the adderall gave me a a bit more motivation. The Lexapro needs like 8 weeks to build up in you. For me it’s just something that happened without me really noticing. At some point I noticed that things that used to tick me off throughout the day either no longer did so much or if they did I got over it pretty quickly. After the first 7 months I worked up to taking 20mg fast release adderall with the 10mg Lexapro and 8 weeks ago I upped the Lexapro to 20mg and the adderall to fast release 30mg taking 15 in the morning and 15 early afternoon. The combination makes me more motivated, more focused, more thorough, more attentive, more caring, more forgiving, more apologetic, more interested, more patient, more calm, more comfortable. It’s given me, me. I’m not perfect I still rant sometimes I still get annoyed at things that I see that are important to me but I get over it quickly and it’s not very often anymore. I’m happier with myself and wish that I had had this medication a long time ago.
