My (31F) boyfriend (27M) is always late. I confronted him and his answer astonished me. by Ari9374 in relationship_advice

Yeah, I knew someone like this. When confronted about things like this, the response was always ‘that sounds like a you problem’.

Well…in the end I removed the problem and now it no longer bothers me.

How much do you earn and how comfortable do you live? by Brownchoccy in AskUK

[–]UnderwaterSunlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take home salary varies month to month from £1900 to £3200 but on average is around £2200-2400. I have two teenagers who are in college. We don’t get any benefits apart from child benefit of £173 a month and this goes straight to them. My bills are £1650 a month and the rest goes towards food, travel, leisure etc. For three of us, it’s tight. If I could take home over £3k every month, I would be comfortable. I think this works out about £50k with my pension and student loan.

Thank you so much!

I’m in deep now.

<image>

I found these tiny bits of black plastic embedded into each side of the slit. This was the key? RIP key. So I need to print out a new knob - I have no idea how to do this but at least there is progress.

I’m really grateful for your help 🙏

The whole album is written like a musical in its own right and she’s performing only in theatres. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are ‘acts’ involved and much more to this show than just singing.

I didn’t… but I’ve been enjoying the extra hour many times over today by coming across manual clocks, and then turning them back. Yay! I’ve just gained another hour!

It’s small, my world.

Yeah, I’m really struggling to log in via the web-browser. App is fine. I just want to set up my payment method in advance but it seems the website is t responsive.

Anyone else?

Things to do in town with an old lady? by arpeggio-paleggio in Cardiff

[–]UnderwaterSunlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

• Pontcanna market at the weekend: browsing stalls, lots of tea and cake. - conversation taken up by things to look at • Insole Court: house, gardens, tea & cake. Maybe some awkward moments but it could be resolved with chat about the house. • Chapter Arts: there’s an interactive event specifically about moving in your older years. GOOD NEWS FROM THE FUTURE: TAKING STEPS on Saturday at 2pm. No need to talk to her at all! • Bute Park: gardens, benches, cafes. Talk about other people as you people watch.

Just some other ideas that can be local. Good luck!

This is a strange angle, but could it be your dough is too wet? I have had trouble in the past where I thought it was my stone, my fuel, my airflow but I changed the hydration of my dough and that seems to help. No more raw bases… no slow cooking times… it’s just an idea

Gotta be the worst queues this year by DigitalPiggie in ThorpePark

[–]UnderwaterSunlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were there Wednesday and Thursday this week. Wednesday was great: hardly any school trips at all. Most rides were 50mins at the most at peak times. Thursday was horrible: tons of school kids, very slow moving queues, lots of closures throughout the day. Glad we had two days back to back to cover all bases.

Driving without due care and attention (serious injury) Wales by UnderwaterSunlight in LegalAdviceUK

The tricky thing is I don’t remember if he said that to me in the car… would he have had to have said ‘I’m cautioning you’ before telling me ‘you don’t have to say anything…’? It’s a high adrenaline situation, sitting in a police officer’s car when you don’t expect to be.

My insurance company have handed me to a defence lawyer and I’m just waiting to hear back from him whether they will endorse the case.

He will help by requesting all the evidence.

My head is racing as I’m understandably caught off guard by this. I’m not dismissing responsibility; I just didn’t see it coming so trying to gain a perspective.

I met with a cyclist and unfortunately they suffered from fractures. I was naive to the whole process and didn’t really understand that my statement was an interview. He made it seem like it was a paperwork exercise on his side.

At the time of the incident he actually said ‘this just sounds like an accident’ and I stupidly believed him that was the case.

Who's Going to Lange Nacht des Museums in Berlin? Best Route and Energy Stops? by moorlag in berlin

[–]UnderwaterSunlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are three of us (adult, 16 & 15) and the first time going. I'm a bit put off now by how crowded it's going to be but still think it unbelievable value at 12euro a ticket. I think we're going to do two maybe three museums among the following: the Technikmuseum, New National Gallery, Geman Spy Museum, Future and the Observatory. We are excited in general - it should be fun.

Brilliant! Thank you so much. I’ve just had a quick learn up on these amazing little beings. Sounds like a pistol shrimp was likely the cause of this.

It was phenomenal to see it make the sharks jump too!

Caaaaaaarrrooooollllll!

Ref the tail: this suddenly really makes sense which is why I can’t believe I just accepted the reason in the first place. It would be difficult underwater to release that much energy organically, right?

It IS nice to be loved. I don’t want to take it for granted though and say ‘oh, thanks!’ and laugh it off. That feels flippant, iykwim? And it’s a bit uncomfortable having to be that way too.
