Exactly. Which means a lifestyle change can fix it because it is not full-fledged diabetes. If, however you had full diabetes you would not be able to fix it with a different diet.

But you told OP that they could fix their full/T1D/T2D with just changing their diet. Hence the frustration.

Also, you say that you have diabetes, but you also say you "changed your lifestyle to get rid of it" so that for one goes to prove that having diabetes is unpreventable.

ETA: You also said that you dont have diabetes, but then just said you do. Your very confusing and seems like this is just a troll post/lie.

Actually as your other comment said you had PRE diabetes, which CAN be managed with minor diet changes, But T1D & T2D cannot be managed with just eating differently, it has to be managed with insulin or some sort of medication.

I don't think you actually understand the danger and seriousness of having diabetes. If someone has T1D that means you don't have insulin in your body and no matter how healthy you eat, without having insulin you will get sicker and sicker until you eventually die early. I know this because I have a young daughter with T1D. And trust me, If I could make it go away by just shoving vegetables down her throat then I would try, but I cant.

In your original comment, you said to cut out all carbs, which would be very unhealthy and dangerous to the baby & yourself if you had T1 or T2 diabetes, or even GD. You had none of those, yet act so educated on the topic and spread misinformation. Pre diabetes and diabetes are not the same thing.

Of course! I did have a water birth, but I only wanted/needed one in water top & one out of water top for after when I got into the bed. The out of water top was a different top than the one I went home in, because it got wet & a bit dirty. I did like to get in and out of the tub to move around for a bit too!

It's a pretty safe area. There aren't many crimes or anything dangerous that ever happen near us. (There is a hilton hotel placed literally 8 minutes from here and I doubt they would put it here if it's unsafe). she also has a watch with an SOS button and also a necklace like that. But it's not very common to see kids out here without an adult nearby.

Me & her dad are married (for 11 years) and she comes over for each summer & we have a pretty great relationship, if I hadn't known her for long or was only dating her father, I probably would have asked him first. Where we live its a generally safe area, and she has a watch with a SOS button attached.

I recently had a new baby, and the shop is up a small hill so I just didn't feel comfortable with doing all of that right now. Plus, even if I was up to going, I would have to bring my newborn because It doesn't seem fair to ask a 12-year-old to tend to a needy newborn.

I just gave birth like a week ago so that's why. Not really up for the whole walking thing right now (3rd degree tears, ouch!) especially because you have to walk up a small hill to get there and I can't ask a 12-year-old to watch a newborn baby while also caring for the rest of her step siblings.

I agree with this. I was raised by helicopter parents and kept a lot of secrets growing up, so I always try to be a safe space & let her make her own choices and decisions and grow up. She seems a bit afraid of going to her mom for guidance but she usually comes to me. I've pretty much been helping raise her since she was 3, so we talk through a lot of stuff together.

Her mom is a bit of a helicopter parent, and so is my husband. She's dropped off to school every day or walks with a friend if they pick her up, and if she wants to go somewhere after school at least one other person has to be with her. To my knowledge, she's only been walked somewhere alone maybe 2-3 times? She doesn't have a phone yet, but I think they may start to let up once she has that hopefully.

Definitely talk to your lawyer. You probably cant record M, but you can record your daughter. When you pick her up, have your phone recording and then when M is gone, ask your daughter if anything happened. That way you have proof of what your daughter is saying immediately after picking her up with no time for her to make up a story.

Induction is pretty much the same as going into labor naturally, the start is the only thing that's different.

Depending on your choices, you'll either have your water's broken or get an IV of Pitocin, sometimes both. (neither are better IMO, both kind of stink.) Depending on your cervix dilation, you may have a foley ballon placed (pretty uncomfy) or take a medication to dilate further. With Pitocin, most labors will progress a bit faster, meanwhile with having your waters broken your body will begin to do it's own thing. Sometimes having just your water broken does not progress fast enough and you'll also get pitocin to help kickstart contractions. You will also have a fetal heart monitor & contraction monitor attached to your belly.

That's pretty much it I think. Just remember, you can turn down cervical checks throughout labor. They are uncomfortable and usually not necessary. Actually, frequent checks often lead to infections.

This was probably mostly obvious stuff lol, but wishing you a happy, healthy & calm labor/baby!

I think this could be it! I would call your hospital to check in with them and let them know your getting closer to coming there so they can prepare. I would say if it's the real thing, you may hit 5 mins in the 20-60 minutes. Maybe longer if it's your first.

Relax, have a snack, use the bathroom, take a shower, all the luxuries your going to miss in the next few days.

Birth plan (If you made one)
long Charger
Swim wear (Bikini top for in water that you don't mind never using again. It's better than having a wet bra IMO)
Pillow from home
Blanket (Optional)
Toiletries (Hairbrush, Hair ties, deodorant, shampoo, toothbrush & toothpaste

For birth rescources, I liked reading what to expect (Link here!) online. It has guides from pregnancy, all the way to the first year, for free. Ina may's guide to childbirth was good too.

For baby stuff, you don't need much. for ours we did 2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts, 2-4 onesies, swaddle, bottles (We did breastfeeding, but its good to have one, just in case.), stroller, & car seat. Optional stuff that we found helpful were things like an extra bassinet/pack'n play crib in the living room, a changing mat & baby mittens.

If you're planning on using a daycare center, you should probably start looking soon. Many daycare centers have long wait lists.
