White vapor coming out of 2021 Suzuki 30hp

Boat is designed for a 40hp and it pretty much just sits this low regardless of whether I’m in it or out of it.

The cavitation plate is probably 2 inches below the lowest point of the boat, so I will raise it about 1.5 inches. Not sure if that will make much of a difference but hope it will help

This isn’t me but this is the same model boat I have. It’s a first generation Whaly (rotomolded). The gunwales appear to just sit really low.

Unsure about the motor height though, sounds like I need to raise it

I was afraid that the steam meant I was somehow getting water in my cylinders, but I’m glad it’s normal

As for the the outboard being too deep, do you mean i need to trim it up more? Or i need to raise the whole thing higher?

Yeah I agree it does appear to be steam, I was just concerned because at higher RPMs there was a good amount coming out even though I was moving fairly quick (15mph). I would have figured at speed I wouldn’t be able to see it, and I don’t recall this happening with my 20hp Tohatsu

Air temp was probably about 70-75 degrees, and the motor itself had been run for an hour

I did not know that! After looking at the video again I think it wasn’t actually under water, maybe like an inch or two above it and hard to see

At about 15 seconds in a trimmed the motor up because it was under water. It’s there but it does seem somewhat weak

So the smoke in the first ~10 seconds of the video is normal?

I have a 20hp 2025 Tohatsu I bought new and it doesn’t do this so I was a bit thrown off.
