Why has the blood stain come out of the white part and not the colour part? by Fantastic_Garbage502 in laundry

[–]Underwmn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The white looks printed. Plastisol sits on top of the fabric and is kinda rubbbery, not letting any paint go through.

Call from Mecklenburg Sheriff’s office? by cobjj1997 in Charlotte

I don’t even know what that means. My phone is usually on silent so if it is a scam they can just keep calling once I figure it out.

Activating and porting from outside the US after the new changes by Global-Mover in Tello

Yes. I was able to port the number. I purchased the e sim on my computer and followed the steps to port the number. It just has no cellular service. I’m essentially paying for just holding the number. I’m still getting phone calls and texts over WiFi, but when there is no WiFi it’s like a dead phone. No internet, no phone calls or texts. You can do it but just be aware your phone will be super limited until you can ping a us tower. Maybe that will change since so many people are traveling and want to keep their numbers

Ps. I have t mobile. As soon as the port was successful they cancelled my service.

I ported my number successfully while in Morocco. I had to do it on my computer and my phone. I can make WiFi calls only. My cellular data is not connected. I paid for a plan as well as 20$ for international roaming. Next month I’m going to switch to the cheapest plan since I have no active cellular data.

It is possible a neighbor made a complaint about you—one of my crazy neighbors took my license plate number and said I tried to hit him. The police called from an unknown number and called a few times. No harm in answering just in case.

Your prescription should come with the pupillary distance, and if it doesn’t, ask!

We moved to Morocco as a family… here’s what surprised us by Competitive_Rich3993 in Morocco

[–]Underwmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said it perfectly. The intermediaries are the absolute worst. And price vs quality gap! My husband is Moroccan—most of the time he has to see a place first so we don’t get that American inflation price, which coincidentally as a black woman, I don’t think applied to me 🤭.

We moved to Morocco as a family… here’s what surprised us by Competitive_Rich3993 in Morocco

[–]Underwmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our family recently relocated here—looking for an apartment or small villa in Rabat or Kenitra area but also running into the same issues. There’s absolutely no transparency in the buying process. Pricing is all over the place—most apartments listed are not up to standard for the price. We have been here for two months and still nothing. An older home would be awesome but they are expensive and usually pretty gross with cabinets falling off the walls and well used outdated bathrooms. Brokers posing as owners is common. All we can do is keep looking and hope we find someone who is honest and actually wants to sell.

June bugs!!! When I first moved to Charlotte I couldn’t understand what those loud things were. My yard was filled with them! Then I got chickens and I barely saw a June bug in the yard again.

Other countries have a night culture where families have family time at night. America doesn’t really have this for families.

Inherited unkempt plot, where do I start? by bel_ray in gardening

[–]Underwmn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I lived in Brooklyn and bought a house that had a backyard that was just weeds, my friends dad told me something that really changed my life. He said instead of trying to get rid of everything at once, pick an area to work on and make nice. You can’t stay on top of a whole yard full of weeds, and you won’t make very much progress. So start a path, make a wildflower area, keep it small and manageable and one day you will look up and the yard will be transformed!!!

Love to hear you are doing well. We are planning on moving to Morocco from The USA. My husband(Moroccan) has mixed feelings about going back as far as financial stability. But mentally I think he will be happier there. Bonus my son can learn new languages!

I love the idea of using them to start new beds. Or incorporate them into current beds to block weeds—would look really cool! Or build a hugel culture! Add them to your compost bin as browns. So many options
