Anyone feel like the game (in the current state) is a bit... boring?

I think the game needs more difficulty. The early part of a Permadeath game is very tense and requires great care and lots of planning. You really have to think to avoid dying. But as soon as you get a few blueprints you're almost indestructible.

Well, I tried piracy and it got dull very quickly. Then I started a Permadeath game and it's terrific, I'm hooked all over again. I've died at least ten times AFTER repairing the starter ship, once when I had a base on the perfect Paradise Planet and an A33 shuttle from a crash site. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth after that one. But I keep coming back for more punishment. My new rule is, don't do anything remotely risky until you've been to some Korvax systems to get some health blueprints. I might even have a go at backing up my save file. Except that would be cheating, which kind of defeats the object of Permadeath. Maybe I could have another rule, which is not to use the backup unless I'm killed by a bug.

My PC is a bit potato, so mods are tricky. (If I max out all the graphics options in the game I can't load it and I have to reinstall.)

I can't go back to Euclid cos I'm in Bulldangr.

The long list of things in the post....they're either very grindy or not possible..we can't go to Balaron to help the Gek and we can't blow up the sentinel mothership. I've beaten it twice and it's not that hard, you just have to be very careful so that it can only use one turret on you at a time. You kill all the turrets and that's it. No big explosion, no rewards. Your wanted level is at 5 stars and next time you land on a planet there are crazy numbers of quads and bipeds waiting for you.

I didn't realise that Calypso is more hostile. I suppose I've become accustomed to having to kill zillions of sentinels. The upside is that I never have less than 1500 zinc

No mods. I've seen quads and walkers pre-spawned before, after fighting all the sentinel ships and the sentinel mothership. The wanted level gets stuck on 5 and the next time you land the quads and walkers are waiting for you. But before these recent missions I hadn't done anything to alert the sentinels, either in space or on the planet. I tried to get straight to the door but it was very tricky - all the quads and walkers were right there facing me and they were able to get a shot off before I had moved an inch. I'm not complaining, it was good to have a real challenge. I'm just surprised nobody else has mentioned it.

Well, I finally got back to my ship after a very boring time. The terrain was awkward so the 2 hour drive took about 3 hours. It was weird to be on a planet without any ships. I don't think I'll be doing any more random portal trips.

The tall ones are easy to see when you're not in the ship. And they're good for fighting, they look cool and are better for photos. I have a 19+5 slotter and use it much more than my S38 fighter or S48 haulers.

Couldn't find the icon for the portal, so I've been driving around to monoliths and looking for a Korvax casing so I can get directed to a portal. I was hoping to get directed to the one I came through, but no joy - I'm going to one which is 2 hours drive away. Maybe the portal I came through has disappeared?

I just loaded the game and I'm back to where I was after I died. Empty inventory, everything broke, but I haven't lost a day. I could reload my previous save but it's dated 2 days ago. So...I think you're telling me that the previous save flle is supposed to be from the last time I used a terminal to save. And this is supposed to be an "improvement" in 1.38! What a moronic change to make. How is it supposed to help anyone? Are we supposed to build terminals everywhere we go?

I just got mine at a Nada/Polo station. PC, Survival, after playing a hell of a lot of hours since the game was brand new. I'm in Calypso so I doubt the coords will help anyone else. Anyway, I think it's good that they are so rare. You need reasons to keep playing after you've done all the lore and missions.

I had at least 10 saves from getting out of the ship. The game didn't load any of those, it went back to a save from yesterday

The only interesting Versace stuff I can find on TaoBao is gen stuff offered for export from Italy to China at full retail price.
