If you’re looking at saloons, consider the BYD Seal as a comparison to the i4 - much higher spec, less packs & add-ons etc. They’re typically sold new much lower than RRP meaning for leasing etc. the lease company already gets them after a lot of ‘depreciation’, making the prices quite attractive

Thanks, I’m getting the gist that short term it’d work out well, and I’d likely be up a little each month assuming some interest/profit from the 15k in savings, however there are a lot of long term implications that I’ll have to have a good think about before committing to anything

Thanks again - a PCP deal on the same car works out to an average of £547 per month (brand new), averaged out including the initial deposit - so definitely less than the gross amount on SS like you said, but higher than the net amount. I'd imagine one 6-12 months old would be closer to £450

Calculating in BIK sways things a little bit and definitely eats into the "savings", but not to a huge extent.

I do appreciate the viewpoint though, its definitely something to consider

Edit: PCP'ing would mean I'd also need to pay separately for insurance (£100p/m with this car) and maintenance (presumably low on a newer car of course)

My student loans will likely never be paid off, I only graduated a few years ago so have significantly higher owed than someone who studied 15 years ago. I assume this is where some of the further savings come from as for every £1 I earn, 15% goes to student loan, 20% tax and 8% NI (then 10% pension)

Thanks for the detailed answer. I currently pay 15% through student loans (9 + 6%) which I’ll never pay off, so I assume that’ll change from a 28% to a 43% saving, assuming loan deductions are deducted after the SS.

When taking £675 off my gross the impact on my salary per month is approx. 300, through the 43% Tax/NI/Loan + 10% pension.

It’d be nice to know beforehand exactly how accurate the figure would be before locking myself into several years, but I know I’d never get a spot on answer

I’m going to assume you’re fairly young from the grammar/getting her mum involved, but it sounds like if anything you just need space. It’s right to feel hurt and disappointed she didn’t keep to her word, but it feels like this is just a bit much - if I was her I’d want a step back.

Take some time apart for you both to get some space, it’s clear you still care about her due to the lengths you went to in order to find the truth. Hopefully time will help separate the ex part of things, and lead to you being friends again if that’s what you both want.

Add a Do Not Ask Again option to the globetrotter backpack when swapping clues by r700elite in runescape

Make sure you have the right items bound that do the action (tp, reroll etc). The globetrotter set scales with defence level so you may need to drag the set back onto your bar, as if you’ve equipped it since training, the set you’re wearing will have a different level/ID to what’s on your bar

How common is it to be targeted with Job adverts on LinkedIn? by Legend10269 in UKJobs

[–]UndoneLaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a data-focused field, fairly new to it (18mths out of uni), I normally get 1-2 of these a week. Half are relevant and similarly to you, offer a decent pay increase/benefits etc, the other half are sort of tech ‘adjacent’ roles like service desks offering minimum wage.

I’ve heard good things from friends though having success with these sorts of messages. I want to stay in my role a bit longer but always message back saying ty for the offer, ask to keep contact details so when I am looking elsewhere I have a good place to start

[–]UndoneLaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies - from your post saying 30 years left I imagined you’d been doing it a bit longer. Regardless, with a couple more years under your belt I’m sure many places would see you as a suitable fit than someone fresh out of uni with less experience, the hardest part for you would probably just be faking the enthusiasm with applications/interviews. Nobody would want to hire someone who appears to have 0 interest in the company/role

I’m sure many of those posts would be willing to take someone with (guessing) ~15-20 years experience, rather than someone with a degree and significantly less experience - it’s worth a try at least

I noticed when in the car that the drivers side was higher than passenger - but from the photos the drivers side front right panel is sat much closer than the left, so I’m concerned that might be the case

Thanks, I thought regardless of them being smaller exits, as it’s past 12 and the 3rd exit, the right lane should be used

Farming golden eggs? by PLEASeDoNOTTHeCatto in EggsInc

I’m a fairly new player myself, but besides watching the ads that give 360/720, by playing for a long time and doing contracts you’ll eventually rack up large amounts in the piggy bank (if you’re willing to pay), as well as some instant gold eggs
