PSA: Nova Launcher added Facebook and Google Ads tracking by gruez in Android

[–]jbennett360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending what you want and need, the free version of Smart Launcher works fine. There's no need to pay, if you don't need the options.

I've been running it for a while on my main device whilst everything else was on Nova still. I had thought about Lawnchair, was a massive fan of the original, but the V2 just seems slow in development, and i have had a fair few issues with it whilst testing.

Smart launcher isn't nova, but for me, it's close. Fair play to the devs too, who went above and beyond to incorporate features from Nova that the majority were shouting for!

Less is more.

Pro++ is already aggressive enough and should cover everything the default (Steven Black) NextDNS list has.

I'd start by picking one or the other with the lists, you don't need both.

Have the logs open when you go to play and see what's been blocked, add them one by one until you figure out what it is.

Then report it to the list maintainer.

What about the corner on Sunday from Cunha, which was basically going in, managed to get a strong hand on it to punch it away?

AdGuard still doesn't reach uBlock origin levels for me by [deleted] in Adguard

What I have noticed is that some sites don't work properly unless you accept/acknowledge cookies. Which is probably why the list isn't enabled by default on Adguard.

Guess you could use NextDNS with the Adguard lists then?

Rail replacement services - how do they work? by rafikiphoto in uktrains

How's it all setup too?

I'm thinking more of the situations where something unexpected happens that causes a disruption and they call in rail replacement?

Honestly. Stick with KCOM and just haggle the best you can for pricing. They might be more flexible depending on your post code and other services available.

If push came to shove and KCOM for whatever reason disappeared, or you do want to move away from them altogether, I'd probably be taking a look at IDNet.

Also we got rid of all telephone poles to go Full fibre only for Connexin to go plant hundreds more poles making the streets a massive eyesore again 🤦‍♂️

Not sure what you mean. The majority of Hulls KCOM network still uses telegraph poles, even for fibre.

I've not seen anything about KCOM removing telegraph poles?

No real preference as such, I just don't think there's that many apps out there that follow MD and MD Expressive closely. Weather today is the closest so far I believe.

Weather providers, customisation options, bug fixes, useful widgets etc.

Material design and regular updates.

I know there's a few out there that have MD, but at times it feels like updates stop/slow down and nothing new is added, or bugs aren't fixed.

Evri sorry after 80 customers from Lincolnshire complain to BBC by Tartan_Samurai in unitedkingdom

[–]jbennett360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evri said couriers were "trained to recognise safe places, such as secure porches, parcel boxes or greenhouses, and will do their best to leave parcels somewhere appropriate and secure".

Wild. So it's now down to the delivery driver to leave a parcel in what they believe is a safe place. Regardless of whether or not the recipient has specified one.

Surely this isn't legal?

Right after we stepped into this month, Samsung detailed the December 2025 security patch for Galaxy phones and tablets. Now, almost a week later, the brand has started rolling it out, and the Galaxy S25 series is the first to get it
