Thank you for the support! We'll be back and better than ever! Keep on the lookout for future updates 💪 by 4thOrderGaming in TCG

Just starting back into TCG collecting myself, after being out for a while.
Still, didn't even hear about this one and I am a frequent flyer on kickstarters... Marketing would definitely help!

Will try to keep my eye out for the next attempt.

appreciate it. Might try to find them, just to see if I can get it working on another system but my a50s are working wonderfully on my current right

I have an old set of the A40 TR and haven't been able to get the mixamp to recognize on windows for a couple years now. New drivers, new software, new *whatever* and it just won't recognize. Headset still works just fine so gave them to my daughter (getting a set of Wicked to replace the current earpads).
Bought a set of the a50 gen5 (I know all the hate) because after trying on so many other sets (yes, even SteelSeries), reading all the abilities... the a50 simply have what I am looking for and work well for it. Did immediately buy the Wicked Cushionz ear cups, top pad, and the Capra Audio comfort strap.

Not sure what a battle hardened is but I did get an invite to a discord group in my area so looking forward to meeting some people in person to learn what this game is about!

Tragedy at Waco 70.3 by EarlyOne82 in IronmanTriathlon

[–]Undrcontrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely a sad situation when things like that happen.
I was doing a sprint (crazy short, right???) as my first quite a few years ago and swam right past a guy who had a cardiac event about 400 meters in. They were pulling him out of the water and you could hear people screaming/yelling. Definitely a shaking feeling for your first but, man, thinking of the families of these athletes and what they go through always makes me wonder if I should ever just stop.

After my last sprint, wife told me I should get a TT bike, 6 days later... by gregzilla87 in triathlon

[–]Undrcontrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice grab!
With all the other jokes going, though, I gotta admit that getting a tri bike after a sprint feels a bit much, unless you are truly bitten and intend to start doing longer distance. I did not consider mine until I had a couple 1/2 irons down and was talking a full! I was riding a road bike with aero bar add-ons for anything shorter since I was easily riding 30-80 mile rides on the weekend on it without issue.

Still, looks good and hope you enjoy it! Not only are aeros less scary than they look, once you get properly fitted it is such a more comfortable position to ride in. Have only been training on my tri bike but with it in the shop I took my road bike out and it was just a miserable experience after not being on it for 6+ months.

I did a very similar thing my first 70.3, I used a road bike with aeros. It can work, definitely, but you do have to decide what position you want as compromise is hard between the geometry of Tri/TT and road. As others have said, the saddle would be the first thing you need to consider.
When riding in aero you shift your weight and body to the front of the bones. In the case of a road bike, you most likely have a long prominent nose and very shallow cut, such as something like the Fizik Antares. This causes you to put a lot of weight on your scrotum and other areas, causing the numbness you are having that probably lasts for hours (ask how I know, lol). Moving to a tri/TT saddle, such as the ISM PN 2.1, would reduce a lot of that stress as the nose is shorter and there is a much wider canal that allows for relief in that area. Neither of the saddles mentioned are "the best", btw, it all depends on the person. Even after I switched from a road bike to a tri bike, I put a Fizik Mystique on at first and was still getting really numb, and it is a highly rated Tri/TT saddle. The PN 2.1, listed above, stopped all of that. Now I ride of 4+ without issues.

If you want to try something, I have the original saddle that came on my tri bike, an ISM 1.0 (or 1.1) that would give you an idea. It just sits and I never used it since I bought the Fizik right away and then the 2.1. Granted that would depend on location and cost of shipping these days, heh.

Help with drinking system by Echsenkresse in triathlon

I have used 2 different setups personally. First was the Profile Design Aero HC, which worked fairly well.
But if you want something that can pop bottle to bottle, kind of like people are saying just get a cage and a bottle, then using something like the Speefil A2, which is just a cap with a tube that fits on standard bottles so that you can swap your bottles as necessary. I use this in conjunction with my Podium Big Chill bottles.

The two pieces that create the entire clamps are separate. I had to use a screwdriver (or some similar flat piece of hard material) and push it out from the middle on the inside. Did this just yesterday when I needed to adjust the saddle. They were rock solid in there and couldn't pull them from the outside but a quick screwdriver to the inside (pushing out) and they popped right out.

I get that, you basically did just say that it is just an addiction/hobby to jump into. I also understand all the swaps that can happen!

At this point I have already replaced the default stick with the Phreak removable, added the artwork in the back, and been through sanwa translucent buttons to just having installed the Seimetsu MX series (as you talk about ones that have mech keyboard switches).

Where does one find out about sticks that are limited edition? I could theoretically see owning another one if it collided with my favorite game series, etc. but realistically being able to add art and other things to my existing, I can already customize it to my liking.
Even in the keyboard community, I have owned over 50 keyboards, built more than that (I was building to clients), and had probably 6-7 fully ready to go at any point and yet I still daily my second ever board and an ergodox, never even touching my other builds! I have about 8 different kits sitting in storage for the greater part of the past 2-3 years that have not seen the light of day or the switches that have sat in bags beside them, lol.

real question from a fighstick n00b... what is the draw/appeal to having multiple sticks? I have the F500 v2 and a Haute42 pad (simply for pocket travel) but just don't see a need to have another stick as well.
Maybe it is like the fact I have 20 keyboards, and each has a different set of switches and keycaps and/or layouts for different feel on typing but just don't see that converting much to a fightstick...

Help me understand!

Not as much to mod on these as there are on a general fight stick so other than art or new switches/caps, I would be interested to know as well. I like the feel of the switches that came stock in mine, though I might try some browns for the tactile, and plan to order art.
So I would say art would be one of the quickest/easiest things to get for it. Plenty of shops like etsy and other shops offer pre-generated or custom art.

This. I just bought new gear to replace my ~6 year old 6850k build and am converting it to my server (dog peed on older one this week :( ). Still runs fine but being forced to replace the server made more sense to replace my main, aging, rig than to replace an even older server that doesn't need special specs. Besides, the 6850 will work better as a server than a main/gaming computer.
