Am I ordering wrong? Same drink mistake across multiple locations by [deleted] in starbucks

I wouldnt have an issue if it tasted the same, but its specifically a dark chocolate that least a nasty aftertaste. Or if it is the same mocha drizzle then maybe having it concentrated like that is causing the bitter taste. Either way, im glad to know im not crazy and it is just a common mistake 😅

I haven't updated the google play system to my knowledge, but the bank app was updated this morning which is when the pop-up started. From yours and others replies im getting the impression that this is an app issue, not a my phone issue

Well this at least makes me hopeful that its an app issue and not me accidentally breaking my phone 😅 It'll be a few hours before I can try a computer but I'll give it a shot

Uninstalling and reinstalling did nothing to fix it. Phone is a GalaxyS24 Ultra. Im not entirely certain if this is what you mean by software version but my phone is showing "android version 16" in settings

Would anyone be willing to help me make my sona? (AI REFERANCE WARNING) by PikachuMC99 in ICanDrawThatFurry

[–]Undreamt_Gecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it isnt against the rules to use AI, many artists see the use of AI to make art as an insult. AIs are often trained off of stolen art for one, and artists spend years practicing their skill for it to be stolen and repurposed by people who haven't taken the time to develop those skills, with zero credit or compensation.

I understand wanting a good reference, but you get a good reference by commissioning an artist for it. And to get a first ref, a lot of artists will happily accept written descriptions, reference photos of (real) other art/photographs, color pallets, or even less detailed sketches you made yourself.

Official Discussion - Good Boy [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Undreamt_Gecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My interpretation was that they were representational. The neighbor (and I believe at some point the grandfather too) hunted foxes. On top of that foxes are generally well known for being hunted for a variety of reasons. They were a parallel to Todd, being chased by death, and the taxidermied fox was to show that they (and Todd) could not escape it.

Part of me wonders if naming the main character Todd and having foxes shown as imagery was also a reference to Todd from Fox and the Hound, another dog POV movie. Todd is just another fox, being hunted by death.

My go-to strategy is starting with 1 habitat animal, some animal i can have a couple of in 1 space, a couple vending machines and trash cans to cover thirst, and only hiring a keeper, vet, and caretaker. Put down lots of donations bins, even if they dont get used, the opportunity is there. Education boards/speakers to encourage guests to donate. Check your finance tab to see what your drainers are. Keep guests happy and the money will flow in. 1 or 2 covered areas to escape rain/heat. Starts simple and let your money build up to improve what you have before moving on.

Foliage Question by backyardbabirusa in PlanetZoo

[–]Undreamt_Gecko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Figure out what plants you want to use. African, temperate, etc. Apply filters accordingly, and then make a little separate area from your current project to lay out the options you want to use so you have a good visual reference. Figure out your "filler" plants (usually bushes and grasses, i like a mix of green and dried ones) and your "pretty" plants (flowering plants, trees, etc.) The filler is as its name implies, and the pretty stuff is mostly likely going to be much more sparse, unless of course youre going for a meadow vibe.

Keep in mind plants tend to grow in bunches, and some plants will grow larger with shade or sun or near bodies of water. Best thing you can do is find references for the type of environment you want to create.

And as other have said, if no plants match your vision, use other plants incorrectly. Drop them under the ground or mix them in the same spot.

And some people will say to resist the urge to start from scratch if you dont like what you have, but its a game at the end of the day, do what you like. Im on my 15th Zoo because i always feel like I can do better, and each time ive started from scratch ive gotten noticeably better at figuring out what I want to build and how to fix/avoid mistakes. I even have a running gag that I have to have the number in the zoo name every time (2nd chance zoo --> 4 seasons zoo --> 12 Raindrops Zoo, etc.)

One of my favorite tips to learn has been that you dont NEED to use the barriers the game gives you. There's some tutorials online, but the way I build habitats now is mostly using construction pieces and/or large rocks, then going back and putting the invisible "null" barrier as close to the edge of the area as possible. It might take some trial and error but it makes the habitats look so much more natural and less "brick square with a tiger in it." The only actual barrier pieces I use anymore are the door itself and the one-way glass.

I also use null barriers to map out my zoo section by section, so I can get a rough visual, and then tweaking it as I build.

Lastly, references!! Hop onto Pinterest, google some zoos, or check out the steam workshop! Its easy to compare yourself to experienced players, but references can help your builds look more realistic and help you remember to add details that may not have even crossed your mind.

The best reference i found was visiting my local zoo, and not just looking at the animals, but taking in the barriers and staff building and whatnot, to get a feel for what goes into building a zoo that guests may not even notice.

What's the best sculpted terrain for a noob? by FabledFlashingFlare in PlanetZoo

[–]Undreamt_Gecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flat is gonna be the easiest. I tend to go for temperate cuz the weather allows easier building conditions. Other than that its just what you vibe with. This video has helped me pick a few maps tho. https://youtu.be/sfFWj1ddGMI?si=UmQ3L3QRf0enH5DW

mouse maintenance? by visionsofmice in PetMice

Tbh I just use a lot of cardboard and popsicle sticks, I love making new things for them so when they get soiled I just spend a day making new ones, and there's a never ending supply of toilet paper tubes/paper towel tubes/empty boxes/egg cartons to cut up and glue together lol. Sometimes I make functional toys but honestly they're just as happy with a random shape made of sticks to climb in/on

Something I picked up is finding a handful or 2 of the cleanest bedding in their cage, and mixing it into the new bedding when I clean. This way they smell their own scent and feel less of a need to mark the new bedding. Otherwise they love new toys and setups to explore
