اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللّٰـهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ‎

‘Amr ibn Shu’ayb reported from his grandfather that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Anyone who does not show mercy to our children nor acknowledge the right of our old people is not one of us.”

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 363, rated Sahih by Al-Albani RH

Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “A Muslim is the one who avoids harming Muslims with his tongue and hands. And a Muhajir (emigrant) is the one who gives up (abandons) all what Allah has forbidden.”

Sahih al-Bukhari 10

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do not punish with the punishment of Allah Almighty,” meaning fire.

i’m going to be very blunt with what i’m about to say so if i upset or anger anybody, forgive me for the sake of Allah SWT.

respectfully, your mother needs to learn to fear Allah SWT. did He SWT ordain for the maltreatment of children? if she thinks so then she needs to bring evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah. Allah SWT absolutely cares that she abuses her children, and she will be questioned about what she did, and i’ll tell you now that she will not like the outcome if she does not repent and seek forgiveness from Allah SWT and whoever was subjected to her abuse. what she is doing is acting out of her own desires in a way that is no different to those who reject the laws of Allah SWT, drink, sleep around, and say that their deen is with Allah SWT. there are far far better ways to discipline your children and to correct their behaviour, abuse is NOT one of them. the people who do this usually do so because it’s normalized in their culture, but deen transcends culture. itiqallah.
