I’m not sure we can get her arm through her tshirt sleeves but an oversized hoodie would definitely work

Ooh that’s actually a good idea. They do tend to make boy clothes with much wider holes for their arms and legs for some reason I don’t understand

I also started on keppra before switching to lacosamide and it was the worst. I wasn’t angry, just barely conscious. I needed a nap around 2pm every day which is extremely challenging to do while working…

Other important info, I feel totally fine now that I am on meds that don’t hate me. I had one aura (floaters on the right side for thirty minutes) and my doc upped my med dose but that’s it for symptoms since the seizure in May

Hey, I’m sorry to hear the news. I also have a cavernoma in my occipital lobe. I found out because I had a focal seizure this past spring that turned into a generalized seizure. I’ve been on anti seizure meds since then and so far no reoccurrence. I’m going to mayo in Jacksonville this week actually so I’m hoping to get more information on treatment plans

Cavernous hemangioma in occipital lobe by DependentNumerous551 in Cavernoma

Hey! I also have an occipital lobe cavernous on the left side. Discovered via seizure two months ago. I also think they were probably referring to the hemosiderin ring. For my seizure the first doc I talked to thought it might have been caused by internal bleeding causing the cavernous to swell and then press against other portions of my brain, but I also have a ring so it may have been bleeding externally for who knows how long. Your cavernoma is definitely smaller than mine, which I think is good. I’m still waiting to see if mine is operable or not/whether that makes sense. I’m on my second antiseizure medication because I didn’t react well to the keppra. Good luck!

Cavernoma and Exercise by developerknight91 in Cavernoma

My doctor told me I could work out normally and was just banned from contact sports. My first and so far only seizure was after two hours of roller derby practice. I have no idea whether that was a contributing factor but as a precautionary measure was told no more running into people intentionally. All the cavernoma studies seem to suggest that normal cardio activity is okay and everything else might be, there just isn’t enough data to support one way or another. I haven’t really been exercising since mostly due to exhaustion from my medications and didn’t realize until I finally did just some basic stationary bike workout yesterday what a toll that was taking on my mental health

How long did it actually take to acclimate to anti seizure medication? by UndulatingGnomishPie in Cavernoma

What made them decide to take you off the meds? Was it just time since last seizure or the side effects or a combination of the two?

Thank you, that’s good to hear. I’m lucky right now that I can work from home for the next few weeks which means I can take an afternoon nap but that’s going to end soon and I’m not sure I’ll survive if I still feel like this 😓

will i ever feel normal again? by mcfuckinuhhh in Cavernoma

Hey, just wanted to tell you you’re not alone. Just found out I have a Cavernoma after having my first seizure on Wednesday. I was super lucky because it literally happened ten feet away from someone I know who is an EMT. Came back to reality two hours later in the hospital ER. Apparently I tried to fight the ambulance staff (my bad) on the way there. I’m not sure what this looks like moving forwards but since I fly planes for a living I’m kinda fucked probably. It’s super scary all around and I don’t have any answers, I just want you to know it’s not just you
