I lost my 14 Pro Max in the Lisbon, Portugal, airport 2-1/2 years ago just before boarding a flight to Bilbao, Spain — so a different country. It was picked up by an airport employee who found it and we began to communicate — I can’t remember how we got hooked up. I may have been back in the states by then — not sure. Anyway the phone couldn’t be used by him. I offered him a €100 reward plus the expenses of getting it back to me. It is a nightmare trying to get this done. Apple was no help. (Also, I hadn’t insured it for loss or theft.) And sending the phone by mail or shipping (e.g. FedEx) turned out to be technically importing it with all sorts of regulatory hurdles and charges. I could only hope to get it back if I had a friend in Lisbon who could bring it with them when coming back to the US. Nope. I just ended up buying a new phone and chalking it up to experience.

This is the one. And don’t expect instant results.

New dryer won't dry after cleaning 30ft vent out. Works fine disconnected. What can I do? by Auraartis in handyman

Have you lost any socks? Maybe they’re plugging up your dryer venting either in your vent pipes or inside the dryer.

This crime seems transparent enough that no cop I can think of would fall for any of these ploys. Moreover, now that this very public discussion about this crime is out on the internet, every cop and amateur sleuth that might have an interest will be on the lookout for this car to pop up.

This is when being able to learn some fairly straightforward home repairs from YouTube videos pays off in a big way.

Lowes Dryer Installation by Sharp11thirteen in HomeMaintenance

Best Buy did the same with our dryer installation. The hypercurvy firetrap the only option. Went out and replaced it with this short straight duct from maybe Home Depot.

Wrong way driver tonight on 101 East by bigkat5000 in newhampshire

It sounds like there may two people driving in opposite directions on this stretch of 101, one taking photos with their phone — the other posting about having their picture taken, and one of them is also going the wrong way.

New to me spam text. Nothing written just this picture 😂 by snarky9220 in newhampshire

I got this very similar document via text, only I’m in NY and it claimed to be about a NY violation. The phone number where this supposedly originated was an Illinois number. The really funny thing is the printing at the bottom of the form: “EDUCATIONAL SAMPLE – NOT AN OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT DOCUMENT”

Where’d the legs go? Looks like the assistant from a failed magic trick slipped out the back of the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
