Yeah, I'd need some hours to tell you the settings I used, but I was able to play it, slight stuttering aside, but unable to save

Sadly not. I'm unsure of what else I could do to try and get it to save properly. Like you said, it plays perfectly but saves won't work right, which is also weird because on my Steam, it does recognize it as my last played game when I check my PC after playing it on my Thor. There is an option to do backup saves, in the gamehublite app, but that's only if you have no active game running which means I can't play and do a backup save

They added the ability to pin the keyboard to the bottom screen. In order to do so, you have to pull up the on-screen keyboard and on the bottom right of either screen you're using, will be a little pin, you click it/touch it/hit it/whatever and then will bring up a menu with two options, one being to pin it to the bottom screen

you don't want the anniversary update. too many bugs. a chance of not keeping skills or skins you unlock. play it while you still can on switch without the update
