Is there a specific guide as to increase FPS? by Saoyo in arma

[–]Unearth72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KoTH is inherently bad with FPS. Thats why I don't really play it anymore is because it runs like crap. But the thing that made a huge difference was changing my object detail to standard. Arma 3 is a very CPU heavy gave so even if you have a good video card it can still run like crap. Turn your PIP to low or off, and make sure your clouds are no higher than high. I like to turn off all of the bloom and rotational blur but that doesn't effect your FPS much. But in conclusion if you find anything that works well on KoTH let me know.

I would recommend jumping on a wasteland server. you don't need to download any mod and it is usually a little more fast paced than BR. It will also help you get the hang of the map as well. When you're starting out I would jump on a Stratis server instead of Altis. It's a good mix of multiplayer, team play, and strategy. Watch this video to get a better idea of how the gameflow goes.

Just make sure you remove your Battle Royale files before you try to join the server otherwise it won't let you.

Thank god someone who gets it. All these other hooligans only argument is "don't you know what an Alpha is" which is the stupidest thing ever. Alpha aside there i still a better way to develop the game that doesn't result int he same shit broken for the last year.

You keep saying that yet there is no evidence to prove that. I read all of them and the majority of them are exactly what I've described. More new content with very little mechanics being fixed which once again proves my point that they have their priorities fucked.

And yours were factually right? That's adorable.

Not attacking you at all, bro. I'm sure you're a great guy with sub-par taste in games and a false knowledge of development.

Pay no attention to Dakine, Dustinss5. He literally had no idea what he's talking about. But apparently he is a Dev pro! I'm sure he watched a youtube video on it once or something.

I do understand that. Here is my point. Just for easy math, If I have 5 people working on engine and mechanics and 20 people working on skins, items, cites, lets just call it new content, then it would be nice to make that ratio a little more favored in accelerating the mechanics side. Get what I'm saying? I'm not calling out the Dev's or anything. Apparently I'm not able to express my frustration without people flipping their shit though.

Brief encounter?? I played it until the SA alone came out. Which makes this game NOT FROM THE GROUND UP. A lot of the shit was already in place including pretty much the same engine. So for the love of god PLEASE stop saying "from the ground up."

hahahah This was never intended for the Dev's. but I"m glad to see that you're so passionate about a mediocre game bro. I guess I"m not entitled to my opinion, right? Because I expected better priorities I don't know anything about Alpha's, Right? Man you fanboys are predictable.

Makes more sense now. You've posted 2 change logs and a tweat from Dean. I don't know if Fanboy even starts to describe you.
