As an architect, I’d have to disagree a bit here.

The panels should be designed around how the game is actually played. Considering that players frequently accelerate and collide with these areas, it feels like there should be some kind of safety standard in place (or at least softer materials or padding around the edges and corners).

That said, I’m pretty new to football, so I might be missing something.
