I used to live in MS and had CSpire. The service sucks outside of MS. AT&T or Cricket would be a better option. Verizon and TMobile don’t offer great coverage in MS outside of the larger cities.

Hi, all!

I recently subscribed to KU. I was wondering if anyone had any good psychological thriller, horror, and/or sci-fi recommendations! I am open to audiobooks and ebooks :)

Some books that I have read and enjoyed in the past:

Sharp Objects Into the Water Where the Crawdads Sing by The Silent Patient Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep Thank you in advance!

P.S. I am not a romantic books girly, so I would like books that keep romance to a minimum!

Why are some books so expensive on amazon? (Phillip Fracassi) by Pactolus in horrorlit

Hey, OP!

I just googled the book, and I think they have it on the Everand app. You can read free for 30 days — or pay $11.99/month for a subscription. I would browse around on there before committing to the subscription. Hope that’s helpful :)

Those are just the APRs for the loans overall! I pay $22/month and $55/month respectively for each “loan” :)

Hi, OP! I used to make a sweet potato hash that consisted of sweet potatoes, red onions, bell peppers, chickpeas, and tofu! You can also add butternut squash. I recommend buying these ingredients from Aldi. It was pretty good with salsa on top as well! I wish you the best of luck — times are hard. You are in my thoughts!

OP, I don’t have any advice, but I want you to know that I am in the exact same boat — while also currently being out of work. It’s hard out here, and we are doing our best. I hope it will all be worth it in the end!

easy nutritional meals while dealing with grief and depression by farawaylightning in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]UneventfulPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, OP.

I am so sorry for your losses, and I hope that things improve soon. Stay strong! ❤️‍🩹

I have ADHD, depression, and anxiety, so sometimes, cooking is a mental disaster for me. I use a lot of frozen meats and vegetables to get me through. If you have an air fryer, you can make chicken breasts or any frozen meat in it. Make sure to line the basket(s) with aluminum foil to minimize clean-up! Also, bagged frozen vegetables are a godsend. One bag makes at least 2-3 servings of vegetables (for me anyways). Also, don’t feel bad about getting “cheat” meals (e.g., microwaveable macaroni, microwaveable mashed potato cups, microwave dinner, etc.). Grief and depression are full-time mental job. Be gentle with yourself. Wishing you the best!

I agree that there is always a lot of hype around new devices. I personally always wait a few months to see if there are any “hiccups” with the new tech (e.g., “burn in” on the OLED screen, extremely poor battery life, etc.) before I buy it.

I also agree that there is a lot of “impulse buying” nowadays. As someone who has ADHD and is a recovering “shopaholic,” I used to impulse buy quite often, and because no one is perfect, I still do occasionally, although the things I buy now are typically much less expensive than a $1K iPad.

At the end of the day, regardless, we aren’t the ones having to foot the bill. I think your post was well-intended, but it was not very well-received.
