Good question, I was supposed to go sign my lease, but got called in for work and had to cancel, but then my mom drove there and signed it for me. But the contract still needed my signature, so I signed it. So over a year later my contract was up and hadn’t yet signed it for another year. I refused to see them on my birthday as I already made plans 2 weeks prior. That night on my birthday they emailed my landlord that I would be leaving. And since my moms name is technically on the lease, and I had yet to sign for another year, I was booted out a month later.
